This place is quite good. There are several of them around in the cleveland area. All of them are decent. Very home style meals. Try the cottage fries when you're here for something a little different. They are not your typical French fry
I wish i could review the food but i was told i couldn’t make the substitution i wanted for my meal or offered an acceptable alternative. I’m actually glad i decided not to orde anything after i saw the “corned beef hash” they served the person with me. I asked beforehand if it was homemade and was told it was….it wasn’t. We had to practically beg for coffee refills and they didn’t give my friend a military discount 0/0 stars, and I’m pretty sure everything was cooked in bacon grease and nobody at my table eats pork
The service is phenomenal. My waitress was Heather and if I come back here, I will for sure be asking for her. She helped me decide on what to order and was honest about flavor and quality of different dishes. I appreciated that as this was my first time here! The chili is amazing and full of flavor. The chicken noodle soup was a little bland and could use some more herbs and salt in my opinion. What I ended up ordering was the battered fish with red skin potatoes. It did not disappoint! It was a bit more greasy than I would have liked, but other than that it was a wonderful dish. I would recommend for the restaurant to not be afraid to add more seasoning to items; however, I am not sure of the typical crowd they get there. If you are in the area, definitely make a stop here, ask for Heather, and try the fish (if it is Friday)! For their happy hour it is wine bottles half off and $2 off appetizers. I also sat out on their covered patio which was beautiful.
First time here! Loved my General Tso's chicken!! It was very flavorful and lean!! Rice was decent, kinda bland but I think that's just the way most rice is.
Husband had turkey Reuben...it looked and tasted really good.
The fries were very bland. It appeared fresh out of a frozen bag and no seasoning or salt. Dry and bland. So was the Cole slaw per 2 people that had it.
Another friend had a chicken wrap and it looked delicious. She said it was the best wrap she's ever had!! The 4th person in our group had an omelette which he said was really good.
I will try something else the next time I come and I look forward to returning! You get a lot of food for your money. And the bathroom.was really clean which is much appreciated!!
Haven’t returned to this restaurant in 2 years since the bad food and service we received several times decided to try it again for dinner see if anything changed. It didn’t . We ordered dinner had a chicken parmigiana sandwich that was on special tasted like a frozen banquet, chicken patty . My husband got chili it was terrible same for the sausage sandwich that came on a plate as an open sandwich I Cannot understand for the life of me how people could have no taste buds to think that this place has good food. For God sakes they are charging top dollar for horrible food never again lesson learned.
I pass by this place twice a week for the past 3 months and finally dropped in. The menu was packed with so many diverse selections. I ordered the "Monte Cristo" deluxe and my friend ordered "The Envelope" with hummus and chicken and we were blown away! The sandwiches where HUGE, service was fantastic and food came out fast and delicious.
My husband and I eat here every Friday night (fish fry). The fish this week, Sept 28, was almost inedible. The pieces were easily half as thin as usual. So disappointing! Usually it's so good! Probably won't take that chance again
My grandson & I have been coming here regularly since he loved seeing the trains whiz by when he was 3! He is soon to be 14 and we come just about weekly before his music lesson! He loves it because of the big screen TVs scattered throughout allowing him to watch the Guardians play! He know longer orders from the Kids' Menu so no free ice cream, but loves their milkshakes!! I enjoy the soups and salads! I love spending time with him and this time is shrinking. I will always cherish the memories of our dinners at YT!
