This place is pretty awesome. You can bring your dogs. Free sparkling water tap on every floor, amazing breakfast, great location. Trendy bar scene at night if you are into that. At this stage of my life I'm not, so I was pleased to notice that I could not hear the music on the weekend night in my room on 2nd floor. I will plan to take my family there again.
Others have complained about what I think are either very minor or easily correctable items. Yes, valet parking is expensive. I found a spot on the street, which was lucky, but there are other options nearby that are cheaper. If you are looking to avoid parking costs, maybe take public transit or stay at a hotel off a highway exit. You are in DuPont Circle. It's gonna be expensive. Or the fact that the housekeeping staff didn't refill X or Y. If you had called the front desk I'm sure they would have sent some up quickly.

Pros:
- The property is in a great location.
- The food at the bar, and especially the deli attached, was actually a highlight. The food was incredibly good.
- The room, like the hotel, is very well furnished and styled.
- One of the coolest features about this hotel is the water for the rooms. They have 2 spigots on each floor - one for sparkling and one for still - for you to fill up empty glass bottles in your room.
- They also do not charge a pet fee, which is a big plus for some.
Cons:
- The check in/unloading procedure at the hotel is the worst I've seen. The Valet's were rushing me to hurry and get out of the pull up entry, even though there is no where else to stop to unload your baggage (which I was doing the entire time). Very uncomfortable situation.
- The Music from the bar is very loud, and it was packed with mostly folks not staying at the hotel. The music loudness is unavoidable for hotel guests coming/going, and I would imagine if you were on the 2nd floor there is no way you can sleep.
- The room, like the hotel, is very well furnished and styled. But as a famous celebrity likes to say, "It is all style and no substance." The bed was a lumpy spring mattress. And I dislike hotels with no master light switch, but I know that's a preference.
- BIG CON: The Bathroom shower has no water pressure, takes forever to change temperatures, and the drain is one of the most poorly designed/constructed endeavors I've seen. Any shower taken caused water to run not only passed the drain and into the bathroom (that isn't intended to be a wet bath), but also flowed outside the bathroom and into the entrance. We went through 4 towels in 2 days simply to use as a barrier to allow you to walk in the bathroom/room without wading.
Summary
Overall, if you just want a trendy place to stay that looks stylish and new, then this would probably be great for you if you don't care about actual hotel things like showering and sleeping comfortably.
If you prefer substance, like us, then I would stay away. I would actually rather stay at a Holiday Inn or something of that sort if it had a good bed and functioning bathroom. This place is extremely overpriced, and unlike other high end hotels, they do not in any way have the kind of amenities I expect from a hotel that charges a 25% room rate resort fee. The pros above are all available at other, better local hotels except the dining, and you could just walk in to get those.
Beautiful and nice hotel! People are nice and friendly there and the atmosphere they have is unbeatable :) they also gave us complimentary water bottles and there are also water stations each floor. Hotel was very lively and joyful. Room was nice and pretty too. There’s a restaurant on the first floor and it seems like there are people almost all day but it wasn’t noisy, I couldn’t hear any noise in my room at all. I actually enjoyed the lively atmosphere so much! Cleaning service was professional and nice too. I’d love to stay there again next time!????
Was really excited to check this place out while staying in DC. For the most part, we had an excellent stay.
The Positives: Daily hotel/bar/restaurant credit came in handy for nightcaps. The bar was fantastic, well appointed, excellent bartenders, and fantastic cocktails. The front desk team was good, with Marie being the standout. She went above and beyond during check in to make us feel welcome. The rooms were nice, albeit a bit small for the price. Typical for what we saw in the same price range in DC. Cold filtered water and sparkling water stations on every floor was a solid amenity that I've not seen before. Elevators were quick.
The Slightly Less Positives: the pillows were horrible. Maybe some of you like feather pillows that flatten out in 1 second and are never supportive, but we can't stand them. It took two requests over two days to get foam pillows delivered, and even then they weren't much better. If you can, bring your own pillow. Also, struggled to get the housekeeping staff to refill the tea station in the room. They never properly replaced the tea, cups, or sweetener packets after the first night. Seems like a small thing, but it's those things that make the experience top notch.
Overall, I would absolutely stay here again. The positives far outweigh any negatives.
I had a nice stay at the Yours Truly DC Hotel. The staff were responsive, the room was clean. I was in town for the Cherry Blossom race. The hotel was a great location for walking to places in the city. The lobby is busy but has spaces for sitting and working. I did enjoy the onsite breakfast in the mornings. One person in my group has a severe dog allergy and the hotel is very dog friendly. There were lots of people hanging out in the lobby and public spaces with pets. Fortunately the room was clean and we didn't have any issues.
Stayed at Yours Truly in D.C. recently. It was a hip & clean hotel. The bellhops, desk and other staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention of Lisette, who was wonderful at keeping my room clean each day and went the extra mile with service of bringing the charger I forgot in my room at check-out. Thank you!
Love this place, beautiful ambiance , everyone was so nice , and very helpful, huge shot out to Marie and Jessica at the front desk. Truly thankful for Marie who made sure our breakfast was included. Beware for choosing breakfast on Expedia. Once we checked in we were advised that breakfast wasn’t included and Marie made sure we were taking care of!! My boyfriend love music so the fact that he was able to choose albums and listen to them in our room was amazing.. Amazing experience we love this place. We will be back ❤️
A stylish, beautifully appointed and well located hotel. We stayed for 3 nights in early September in a fantastic room. The bedroom was spacious plus we had a large lounge and a huge bathroom. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I usually struggle with hotel pillows but these were superb and I slept really well. I liked the modern aspects of the hotel, the cool communal spaces plus the polished concrete, yet it also manages comfy and cosy. Plenty of sofas, rugs and warm lighting. My main praise is for the staff. They're extremely professional, welcoming and helpful. The front desk team were so lovely and the housekeeping staff could not do enough for you. I was always needing something- an iron, more tea, a safety pin. They were always around to help.
It's in a great location too for sights and Georgetown's shopping and eating. A really great place to stay in DC. We will definitely return. Thank you for our lovely stay
