Best WLM Reviews
Was visiting the area to go to the American music theatre to see a show. Wanted to try someplace new. This was nice and close and decided to stop in. Ordered the potato soup, pretzel and grilled cheese brisket sandwich. The pretzel and cheese was one of my favorites that we've ever had. Would definitely recommend this one. Also, the potato soup was only warm and the grilled cheese brisket sandwich had an unusual taste, I think it was coming from the oil that they used to grill the sandwich. Ended up stripping the brisket and barbecue sauce from the sandwich and eating it on the side. Restrooms had a distinct aroma.
When I got inside the dining room it was dark but seemed nice and clean. Was sat right away and offered a drink. The music was really loud for a dining room. I think it's a thin divider between the bar and dining room. The music had speakers in the dining room and I found it loud and off putting. Even the staff had to ask people to repeat themselves a good bit. I was told at the hotel and than again when I arrived the Stromboli was legendary. So I went ahead and ordered that. It arrived a while later with a side of grits. It was small and long more like a long pepperoni roll in my mind. It's been cut into pieces with a side of sauce. It looked okay but seemed wet. Unfortunately it was pretty cold by the time it got to me. The crust was crispy on top and wet on the bottom but hard to get through. Flavor was meh... fine. Was definitely cheaper cuts of meat inside like lunch beach not good quality salami and ham. For the price it was probably okay but I'd or order another. The grits although also just room temperature were pretty good. A touch of jalapeño gave it nice flavor but not too much heat. Texture and consistency were very nice. I had to ask for plates and table settings. Wasn't offered dessert just for the check. Not a bad experience and food was not bad but not great either. Seems like a place to eat out of convenience while staying at the nearby hotels.
As with a lot of my reviews, we ate here after our kids' soccer tournament. We were a party of 18. While other places had an hour to 2 hours wait, I called and asked if they could accommodate us and how long the wait would be, the man said yes and they'll be ready when we got there. The restaurant was just off the road with ample parking. It was a cozy, Ma & Pop place restaurant. We were seated in a side room completely by ourselves. Kayla was our server and she was fantastic as was the rest of the staff! She was friendly, outgoing, thorough taking our orders and even turned the college football game on at request. Someone even came out to get our personalized requests for our appetizer salads (a lot or little tomato? Hard boiled egg, yes or no?) A few dads took advantage of the $4 Yuengling mugs special. We got an assortment of food which all came out hot and made to order. The fries and onion rings were great. This turned out to be a great find and much better than any of the chain options in the area.
I just ordered a Philly and Stromboli. The French fries tasted like they were made yesterday and then refried to the texture of cardboard. The Philly meat is nothing great. It tasted freezer burnt and over cooked. Out of my whole experience the Stromboli was the worst part: it tasted like leftover processed meats. All I can taste is bologna and mustard.
Went for the lunch buffet and was HIGHLY impressed. Let's just say I made sure to get my fill ????. The soup was amazing and the selection was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Only gave it 4 stars because pizza selection, although delicious, was limited.
Came to Your Place tonight about 11 pm bar was pretty full and we ordered drinks a couple seats opened up for us to sit at the bar and we asked about food., it was 1124. The bartender said the kitchen was closed at 1130(again it was 1124) so didn’t argue understood if guys want to go home kicker……. 10 minutes later literally because I looked at the time , a “REGULAR” came in and asked for cheese fries and they made them
for him so yes a little pissed off as me and my wife had the munchies and all we were going to order was freaking fries. Not even a hey if you guys want an app we can get that up for you but that’s it. I’m reasonable. So anyway was planning on coming back tomorrow for Sunday football but going to Primanti Bros instead because at least I haven’t been disrespected like that there. Too many choices in the area to deal with favoritism bullshit.
And he got a 2 dollar tip because of his service and attitude by the way not because I’m cheap
Absolutely great place! My husband and i were away celebrating our anniversary for the weekend and stopped in for a drink and bite to eat! Bartender was awesome and very sweet! Food was amazing!
I think her name was Kayla? But she made us feel like we were her best friends. Every thing she recommended we got and it was so worth it. She knew better and basically read right through us. We just wanted to get away for a bit and she definitely let us just be who we are and make sure we had the vacation we needed. She was one of the most humble people I have ever met and most empathetic. It seriously felt like we were visiting with an old friend :))) we couldn't have had a better time. ❤️
