Best WLM Reviews

What a great concept. This place was awesome. No frills, great views! They don't don't serve liquor or beer but you can bring your own. How's that for sweet? Having a birthday? Bring your own cake! Bring some sides for your dinner but you won't need them.
They cooked my lobster perfectly. Cooked the clams perfectly. Also corn. Pick out your own lobster and I'm pretty sure they like 1,000s to pick from. 1 claw or 2 or small or large. Whatever you want. I would totally recommend this place.
What a great location. The atmosphere was straing out of the dockside fishery and it's great. We ordered the lobster and it was great. We sat right by the water and enjoyed sunshine and great conversation. Being new to the area we went with seasoned visitors who brought silverware and a table cloth along with salad and fruit to have with the meal. It was all great.
Lobster pound on the dock. Had a 'crabster' roll, was much quicker than the 20 min turnaround for full lobster.
Some bathrooms upstairs, lot of flies indoors. Most people sat on the picnic benches outside anyway.
Appreciate the towelette and pickles that held down my paper tray in the wind outside.
The "Young Lobsters Pound" is a lovely restaurant with an incredibly beautiful view. There is a range of seafood to eat, which is freshly prepared for you. We had lobster and a lobster roll, both of which were delicious. I can only recommend a visit to this restaurant, if it is too windy there is enclosed seating upstairs, the toilets were clean.
This is a working lobster pound first and a restaurant a distant second, exactly what we wanted. The first floor is filled almost entirely with holding tanks and a food counter where you place your order. There are plenty of options in addition to whole lobster, all from the sea. We had hardshell lobster and clams which were perfectly steamed. Leave room for some blueberry pie, while served cold, it was delicious.
Other than a plastic fork no other utensils are provided so be sure to have them crack the claws for you. Picnic tables on the second floor provide plenty of seating. The building is right on the water providing great views of the harbor and the homes across it. There was no heat so dress accordingly if you come during colder months.
Excellent place for the freshest catch. Great lobster, shrimp, fish, mussels and oysters. Quick service and extremely attentive staff coupled with a no frills, laid back environment. Sorry for no food pictures, too busy eating the delicious catch!
Beautiful space with a ton of seating right on the water and fresh lobster all around you. They also have steamer clams and crab etc. biggest selling point is they keep all seafood live right up until you order it , nothing is frozen or refrigerated before you eat it (except for the scallops they said). No alcohol so they allow BYOB. We had a great time, lobster meat was amazing and crab roll was incredible. Steamers were awesome too. We spent $102 (pre-tip) for a crab roll a lobster roll and an order of steamers. So its not cheap but I wouldnt say its overpriced either. Downsides are it is a noisy place bc of the machinery/water pumping system that they employ to keep all the seafood alive and fresh and theres lots of yelling from the staff downstairs. Also if you sit inside theres a ton of flies unfortunately. So be sure to sit outside instead and enjoy the views!
When one travels to Maine; one must eat lobster. Definitely something to experience glad we did..Good conversation, welcoming atmosphere...know that it takes time to cook lobster so bring some food and conversation to enjoy your meal! Great place to people watch and enjoy a sunset.
