I love Young's!
I've been coming here since I was a kid, and this was the first time I had been here since their new reconstruction of the main building. Everything still kinda had the feel of the original building, and all of the food was exactly the same. The ice cream and other dairy products are delicious (the baked cheese curds are amazing). The regular food is a basic and is just alright but I don't expect much from A bunch of teenagers in a kitchen. I plan on coming to Young's for many more years to come.
My husband and I went mini golfing next door then stopped by here for lunch. The ice cream here is the best. The food isn’t so great, but I’d come to the area again for mini golf and ice cream. For those with kids, they are adding a carousal too.
Great place for families, homeschool, or school outings. The food is good but the ice cream is better. I had the single, double buckeye. Had I realized it was only a dollar cheaper than the double, I would have gotten the double. It was delicious ????. My daughter and I went there after hiking at John Bryan State Park. I got some sort of chicken sandwich with fries. It was just OK. My daughter got chicken strips and fries. Her chicken was better than the chicken on my sandwich. Ultimately, the ice cream was my favorite!
What a great place to take the family! Lots of cows and other barnyard animals. A huge indoor indoor space & patio with food & ice cream. A cute shop. Putt-putt, and more. We really enjoyed our visit here!
I visited Young's Dairy Farm for ice cream and tried their creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cow Patty, double chocolate fudge flavors served in freshly made waffle bowls. The Chocolate Peanut Butter was a classic delight, combining rich chocolate with peanut butter. The Cow Patty flavor surprised me with its chocolaty goodness. What made the experience even better was the petting place for cows and goats, adding to the farm-fresh ambiance. Highly recommend these flavorful treats for a delicious and fun visit!
You're just gonna have to come here. We showed up at 730pm on a Tuesday and there was still so much to do.
Hit some balls in the batting cage
Hit some golf balls
Pet some farm animals
And ate some food
Try the curd burger. It was great.
Also bought a cheese curd sampler. Every flavor was amazing. Their chocolate milk is also great, drank half a gallon on the drive home.
Very fun place for the family. I had the double cheeseburger w/cheddar cheese curds and a waffle cone with the chocolate peanut butter ice cream. WOW! All of it was good. The cheese curds were amazing. Loved seeing the kids interacting with the animals.
This place is essentially an agritourism destination. We were there for lunch alone and so didn’t explore elsewhere. The paved parking lot is huge. The cafeteria is massive, too, with factory functions that can be observed, a queue area to buy meals and ice cream to enjoy at seats nearby, and a shop with decorative items, cheese, tub ice cream, and sweets like pie.
Upon ordering food, we were given a disc to alert us when our order was done. It took about 15 minutes for our lunch to be ready. First of all, the cheese curds were good quality with a seasoned breading that was quite light; my sister-In-law, who is a local, was dismayed that they were not as good as she remembered. They ordered buffalo curds that just had something like Frank’s Red Hot squirted over the top, and the texture wasn’t good. As someone who has eaten many cheese curds, I thought mine were okay, mid-range.
I had a chicken salad croissant with an added side salad. My sandwich wasn't appetizing in appearance, as you can see in my picture. The cheese slice looked like it had been sitting out for quite a while but it tasted fine, which was good, because the overall salad was surprisingly bland. My side salad was a spring mix that included several leaves that were blackening with rot; one tiny glob is visible in my picture. I had to pick those out. My husband had a burger and fries, which he thought was fine. My nephews had ice cream and really loved it, so I am thinking this may be a place to come for that rather than the main meal. I did buy two blocks of their more aged cheddars and a pack of buckeyes (a regional dessert with peanut butter and chocolate) to enjoy later.
