Best WLM Reviews

The atmosphere at lunch time was quiet and not busy at all. Expected to have a better meal since we were the only people in there. Whoever the hostess/ waitress was at this time was very unprofessional, she dressed inappropriately (very short shorts) and was monotone when talking to us. No effort was made to make us feel appreciated for being there, especially being our first time. I ordered the specialty spider roll. In my opinion $12 for only 5 rolls was not a good deal, especially when the sushi is falling apart when it came to me on the plate. The steak had no seasoning, our shrimp was overcooked, the yum yum sauce is loaded with white vinegar and mayo taste. The rice was gummy, and the vegetables for the hibachi were undercooked. The best thing about my whole lunch was the gyoza we ordered as an appetizer and my beer. Even the salad sides and soup sides were bad, the lettuce for the salad was cut into big chunks of romaine, and the soup had particulate floating around in it. I also ordered a bento sushi box which also was not great. The sushi was falling apart and hard/tough. Hopefully I do not get sick from eating at this place, anyone else please be aware!
I got the hibachi chicken...it was awful. The only good part of the meal was the salad. The soup had a really odd aftertaste and the rice was mushy and just tasted bad. I was honestly nervous to eat the chicken because it just looked gross.
The ramen tasted like nothing, very tasteless , very disappointing,
I wish we would’ve picked another place .
Delicious ramen and sushi. I think I ordered ramen with chicken broth and beef but I don’t remnants the name. Also we ordered cheese fried cheesecake.
Sushi was good it definitely felt fresh.
I don't know if the sodas were off brands. It was definitely not Dr Pepper, but they changed it upon request.
Been to the majority of the sushi joints here in Wilmington. Genki has been my favorite thus far. But the fire dragon roll they made as Maki for me tonight on first visit…It was in front of me in less than five minutes. And it’s been the best roll I’ve had in Wilmington. Absolutely fresh tuna with a crunch in the middle that was phenomenal. Wasabi honey sauce barely drizzled on top. SO GOOD!! The only downside was I was the only one at a 15 person bar and one of the staffs children, probably four or five yo, decided to sit next to me and tried to play a game. I don’t mind kids but he would not leave me alone and he kept putting his entire face over top of the bowl of miso soup that I ordered. Breathing into it sniffing it putting his whole face in it. None of the staff seem to care what he was doing and I actually had to tell him to stop. He was running around the restaurant like it was a daycare. I told my waitress to take the soup off my bill. Completely unacceptable.
This was a very bad lunch experience. The rice was hard and old. The entire plate smelled like ammonia and mold. I was able to try two pieces of sushi out of 12 before I was forced to abandon hope. Furniture was falling apart. Entire place smelled of restroom disinfectant. Slimy old fish tank at entrance ( should have left when I saw this). Wait person brought water, delivered food then disappeared .Don’t think it will make it through the winter, save yourself now.
It had been years since my girl and I had Yoshi's. We just recently moved back and decided to order some Friday night take out from here. Place was absolutely dead inside on a Friday which should have been my first sign. The food was not good, the rice was squishy, the steak was way over cooked, they forgot the soup and salad that comes with the $26 dollar 2 combo hibachi, special request (and additional charge) to add cream cheese to rolls was not followed and the list goes on. For a meal that was almost $80 I was thoroughly unimpressed with pretty much every aspect of this experience and can promise you we will never be back. Save your money and go somewhere else because this place has fallen off hard.
