Best WLM Reviews
This was an amazing experience. We drove out of our way, on our way from Huntsville, Alabama, to Los Angeles, CA, just to experience this restaurant, and it was well worth the trip.
The food was amazing. Everything was super fresh and made the way you want it at your table. The staff were all super friendly and made us feel welcomed. We chatted with the manager. Alex, and our server, Sonny, at length. We were very happy with the food; the flavors were so good, and the noodles to finish were simply delicious. Try the blackberry hibiscus lemonade. It was amazing!
All in all, it was a great experience. Excellent parking. Easy to find. Excellent staff and atmosphere, clean bathrooms. I was well pleased!
I did not like my experience. Upon entering, a staff member said he would seat us in about 5 minutes, but that didn't happen. He seated someone else that came in immediately after us and ended up going to the kitchen to help. What a great start... After more than 5 minutes of waiting, another staff member greeted us and seated us.
Nothing was worth it. The karaage was overcooked and had too much breading. The unami fries were also overcooked and had little beef on them. The bottom was drenched with oil. The crafted drinks, matcha and mango hibiscus to be exact, were nothing but lemonade - there was no hint of mango or matcha. Servers did not seem knowledgeable with the menu items much.
The Shabu Shabu was nothing special. The meat quality was not on par with other local Shabu Shabu locations. The soup base was bland. The unlimited veggies was appreciated. The 3 sauces were not bad though. I'm not a teriyaki person, but the teriyaki here was flavorful and not too sweet. The ponzu and peanut sauce were good as well.
And automatic 18% tip for the type of service that was provided...?
The staff was so attentive. They did 120% for us. The only thing is the food...Not very authentic and the meat quality is not great. I didn't feel what I ate justify the 66 dollars I spent.
We went to this place on a whim for my 12 years olds birthday dinner. He is a relatively picky eater but obsessed with Asian culture especially Japan. I read the description and he was like oooh yeah I want to try that! We pulled over immediately because if he actually wanted to try something new we were going to take full advantage of it! We had never done any kind of hotpot but the waiter we had was Awesome! He explained everything in quick but thorough detail, and made a few helpful suggestions about spice levels and flavors. My son even ordered steak, he usually is a chicken only kind of kid, I later found out he only ordered it because it had "New York" in the title ???? but he ate it all and even tried pork belly! It was a super fun family experience and very good quality food!
Mezcal Margarita and Japanese old fashioned were perfect as well! Deserts weren't on the menu but they do have some options available!
The service was amazing, all the servers would check in on us constantly to ensure we had what we needed. Our waiter spent time walking us through the Shabu Shabu process and was so helpful! Food was delicious and wide variety of broths to choose from. Will be coming back here again. Also they serve halal meats which is a big plus!
It has been a year or so since we have visited Yoshi and I'm so glad to report that the staff, service and food is just how we remember it! Staff is always so friendly and accommodating. This visit we met Andrew and Akhil who took care of us and our little one: they checked in on us asking if we needed anything, prepped our sauces and were so kind!
Will definitely come back sooner than later this time around.
Thank you!
We had a large party here for work and it is very yummy! Unlimited veggies and you buy meat to cook in the broth, it is very yummy! The service was great for a large party too! I normally ask for extra carrots and broccoli, definitely a fun experience to show to visiting friends. You cook the meat, then dip it in sauce then scoop up rice with it and eat! You can also have ramen at the end and drink the broth!
This was my first hot pot experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. They explained the ordering and cooking process and were attentive throughout our meal. It was definitely a great place
