I was not disappointed. I was pleased. Looking at various options both for room location and other places in the area (there aren't many), reading various reviews, and I was pleased with my actual experience. Some little things were off (no ice bucket, for example) but the staff were accommodating and made things right. I was in a room with a mountain view. Since my trip was five days in Yosemite and not lounging in a hotel room, the room was fine. I opted for the simplest room (not the river view or kitchenette rooms that cost more), but there was a toaster and coffeemaker in the room. Fine! While the base bedding (no mattress pad, just a bottom sheet) wasn't great, everything was clean and I had great sleep each night. The bath was sparkling clean. The registration area was very helpful since they have a nice selection of groceries that made it possible for me to make up for not bringing more with me. Yes, the items in the grocery are pricier than a big grocery store found in other places, the convenience was amazing! Being four miles from the entrance to the park was the draw. It's basic. This is not a resort or spa. Enjoy it for what it is!
Reasonably priced rooms within close proximity to Yosemite valley. Our room came with a small kitchenette. The bathroom was a decent size. Beds were comfortable but did not have sheets that fitted the mattress? So your feet eased around on the bare mattress the whole night. Definitely the best part of this place was the eight or so hot tubs and half as many pools. You could heat up in the hot tub and then do a polar plunge in the pool all while listening to the river flow by. Great place with good value.
Excellent location, so close to park entrance and work a beautiful backdrop.. The property is well managed. Our room was clean and overlooked the river and was steps away from the hot tub sign we enjoyed after a day of hiking. The restaurant and bar on site was great. Our bartender, Braulio and all the other staff were very nice and friendly! The pizza was awesome! Really generous toppings and perfect crust! Would recommend eating there for sure!
Was a perfect place for our family and two dogs!
The room was a great layout with the suite. We would definitely stay here again (and I am picky with hotels.)! We stayed on the river view side and it was a peaceful and tranquil sound and of course a beautiful scenery.
We were all happy to have our dogs with us and even happier to not hear other dogs around us. It was quiet and clean throughout the hotel and grounds!
Another plus was food was good and close by!
The only reason I will not give this 5 stars is due to the bathroom having a few minor issues (hair under the bathroom sink when we arrived it was there so it was not ours, and the shower heads were not secured in the wall.), bathrooms need some attention.
Other than that this is a great place to stay right next to the park!

This hotel was an absolute gem! While it may not be the most modern, our room with a balcony overlooking the river was simply breathtaking. We were lucky enough to get a river view room (we asked during check-in if any were available) . Waking up to that view was pure bliss.
Another highlight was the kitchenette in our room. This allowed us to prepare our own meals and gave us the flexibility to enjoy breakfast on our balcony with stunning river and mountain views. The hotel also has two on-site restaurants for those who prefer to dine out. The room was also very spacious and I loved the big bathtub to relax after a day in the park.
The location was incredibly convenient, just a short 5-minute drive from Yosemite National Park. This made it easy to explore all the major sites in the valley. The staff was incredibly helpful, suggesting personalized itineraries based on our interests and hiking abilities. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better stay.
This hotel is solid and you truly can’t beat the location. It’s a little over 25 minutes from the valley to the hotel and a fraction of the price of the in-park hotels. Our room was clean and had a great view. Only thing we were really bummed about was they only had a breakfast buffet and we were looking forward to the regular breakfast. The buffet was decent, we’re just not a fan of them and felt it was expensive for what we actually ate.
We stayed because of the proximity to the park entrance which was great. At check in they gave us a totally different room than I had booked and it took several minutes for them to figure out they mixed up our reservation with another guests. ||The bathroom needed to be introduced to a vacuum and some bleach, and parking was challenging. The pool/hot tub was open late, the pizza restaurant on site was pricy but yummy. ||Overall, it was fine- just know what you’re signing up for.
Great location, just outside the entrance to Yosemite. However, we felt it was way overpriced for basic accommodations. No fitted sheet on the bed. Hot tubs were dirty. Facility needs a major renovation. WIFI wasn't working! Game room was closed because they rented it out to a third party. Disappointing.
