Pretty decent hotel for the price. It’s far from Yosemite National Park, but not too bad neither. The rooms are spacious and clean, there is plenty of parking. It was nice that breakfast wad included. Overall this is a great alternative if hotels near Yosemite are all booked. They give you military discount with your ID.
The breakfast is good (more variety would be nice), the rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. The staff is great & helpful. Location is good too, close to the park. The town offers a good variety of food and the shops are fun and unique. This is our go to place when we visit Yosemite.
Check-in and checkout were a breeze, much simpler than most other hotels. Parking was easy as the lot was big and no extra fees. It is situated right on the corner of the 49 and 140 highways. Made getting to and from anywhere in the area simple.||The rooms were clean, fully stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The AC worked so well I actually had to turn it down it got so cold, HUGE PLUS!!!! TV, small fridge, coffee maker, and plenty of plugs for devices.||Mariposa is a quaint town with some great eats as well. If you stay here PLEASE take advantage of the breakfast which was AGAIN, one of the better ones I have had in a hotel. Also, go down the street and treat yourself to dinner at Fredricks steakhouse or Castillo's for Mexican, you will not be disappointed!!
Super place to base yourself for exploring all things Yosemite. Friendly staff. Clean rooms which are refreshed every day. Quiet at night due to the carpeted corridors. Hearty breakfast included. |Local town museum is brilliant, as is the town itself.
Not a good experience. The motel is quite far away from Yosemite NP. We as a family (2 kids) were given a room that smelled strongly of mold. When I asked for another room, I was offered a room that had been taken out of circulation. According to the reception, the motel was fully booked. We had the impression that this was not true. The room had a broken bathroom door with a missing doorknob (just don't close the door and you are locked in forever, especially with children you have to be careful). But we had no other choice. There was no apology, only mail contact to the manager who was not present that day. After sending several messages and still no response, this is not a place I can recommend to anyone. The rooms are old and musty and that at almost $200 a night is just critical. The breakfast is very basic. No thanks.
Customer service is an A+. Of all the places we have stayed across America, the lady at the front desk that answered the phone was the most helpful, very polite, she had patience’s and made our booking understandable and with ease. Her name was possibly Terri, I seen the name on our receipt and reservation information. If I could give more stars for her I would.
We have arrived and was greeted by a very kind gentleman. Absolutely beautiful property and the rooms were perfect! We were surprised by this amazing stay and relaxing atmosphere. We will highly recommend Miners Inn Motel. Thank you to the whole team that has made this stay better than we could have asked for.
Basic hotel, clean, handy for amenities, good value for money. Friendly staff. Plenty space in the room.|Thin walls if neighbours are noisy/ come in late. Needing bit money spent on it. Tired looking.Breakfast was nice as was the eating area.
Took the mini suite. Got a pretty clean room, a working spa tub and a small kitchenette with all essentials. AC was working well. The bathroom had shampoo, body wash and body lotion all stocked up. They also had a note asking to consider re-using towels which I thought was nice. Each day, the housekeeping cleaned all dishes (which I wasn't expecting), made bed, replaced towels, etc, so props to them! Reception/kitchen personnel were nice too. Just one small thing. While we were checking out at around 11 am, we asked if we could have a couple boiled eggs for the road (they are placed in a mini fridge and are available during breakfast 7-9 am), and they said no and that they're stocked for the next day. I mean, a couple boiled eggs don't hurt. I understand it was an additional thing to ask for but it wasn't a big ask either. Anyway, will still consider coming next time if I decide to stay in Mariposa.
