Try this place for the first time and was not disappointed. Have the steak and eggs and some soup and it was really good. The place is medium-sized so during peak times there is a wait but fortunately there is a sign in system and pager for when your table is ready.
We came here on a Saturday around 10am. The place had several customers waiting. Sign your name and take a little buzzer thingy. Expect a little wait people were waiting the whole time we ate.
It’s a small little cafe, I really didn’t notice tables that would comfortably fit more than maybe 4-6 people 6 you would be pushing it.
Our hostess was all hands on, she sat us, came back to check on us because our waitress took our order and never came back. I do believe that all the ladies really do help each other though.
Customer service was very friendly. Seemed like this place has made a home for some regulars.
The food was amazing and good portion sizes. I got a skillet and took half home and even heating up the leftovers later was great.
I also recommend the sourdough toast.
My only complaint was our hostess gave pretty much everyone’s bills at the same time, so then everyone was trying to leave at the same time. Other than that we definitely will be back. Food was great, great service, food was made pretty quickly too.
Small place with a comfortable homey atmosphere. Had a short wait for a table but they have a simple but efficient waiting list with an assigned beeper system. The food was in one word….delicious. I got the country skillet and a cup of bean & ham soup. The best bean & ham soup I’ve ever had…flavors perfectly blended without being too salty. Staff was friendly and welcoming. My only frustration was having to wait 10 minutes for my bill when it was quite obvious that I was finished and ready to leave. Had to ask another staff member for a take out container. I’ll be going back…the food was that good.
The perfect breakfast spot. Easy in easy out. Even with 3 groups ahead of us waiting. We were seated in 10 minutes.
We have now visited Yolk and Toast 6 times, and it quickly is becoming our go-to breakfast spot.
The staff is excellent, friendly, and professional. The cooks execute well, everything comes out tasty.
Stopped in for a quick breakfast and so far the best breakfast place I've been to in Michigan. Can't wait to come back to try more of the menu
Sometimes, I feel like I get wordy, or over share. I am really passionate when it comes to food. I love prepping it, preparing it & eating it. My favorite kinds of restaurants are those that do what I do, but better. Always love when I can just skip the first two steps & eat.

Slowly but surely calling this my go to spot for Breakfast in the area. ????
Food is lick the plate or box it up & actually eat it later, rates somewhere above scrumptious.
Food is AMAZING!!! Fast and Friendly service WOW!!! You won't be disappointed. I will definitely be returning.
Friendly staff but was busy at brunch time, so wait time was about 5-10 min. Provided a buzzer or could leave a phone number to let you know when they had a table ready.
