Best WLM Reviews

We ordered a few dishes however the quality was just meh. The English muffins were over toasted for the eggs Benedict, the potatoes were also plain and not crispy, and the pancake was dry. The fruit bowl and iced coffee were good though. Service overall was nice and fast, and the ambience was good too. There was a wait but we got our table much faster than expected.
I liked Yolk so much that I ordered delivery the next day and it was really good on both occasions. The smothered biscuits were a little too doughy. The grits and bacon were amazing. Their menu is huge and there was a lot more that I wanted to try. I’d definitely go back again.
Had two great meals at Yolk - my son loved their breakfast so we came back a second time. Decent coffee, fresh eggs made to order and the pancakes were a huge hit!
Visited for the 2nd time and tried new options. My family loved it all. We ordered everything!!! Pancakes, eggs, omlettes, ,fruit toppings, and tea. The server was prompt and attentive, the food is a little pricey but hey you only live once and it's downtown. So no complaints. I'll be back next timenim in Chicago.
Our server was very friendly and gave great recommendations! Food was delicious--the best French toast we've ever had! The potato pancakes were also phenomenal :) Would recommend!
Disappointing.
Let's start with the positive; Our server was friendly and the service provided was attentive. Albeit it was hard to get our server sometimes.
Now the unpleasant: food 2/5
The food here was bland and unseasoned.
This is a response to 5 out of 6 plates served to our table.
The breakfast burrito had only the flavor of the green onion and the eggs were so watery that the burrito was soggy.
The country potatoes were also void of any seasoning and undercooked.
I was told the chorizo did have good flavor, but since it was left off of the burrito, even though I ordered it, I cannot speak from experience.
The pancakes tasted like you were sipping directly out of the vanilla bottle
Atmosphere 2/5
I understand it's a big city and restaurants struggle with seating arrangements, however, to have a table placed within 3 feet of the service station not only makes it challenging for staff, it was uncomfortable to have staff making drinks and hovering behind where you are trying to enjoy breakfast.
The chairs are also at risk of breaking.
Several chairs at our table were unstable. Unfortunately, so were the chairs at the tables surrounding ours so we were unable to replace them.
Table placement issues also led to staff bumping into customers as they attempted to squeeze between tables to clear plates.
Price-overpriced
3 dollars for about 4 -5 oz of orange juice. Is insane and what you pay. Also the value of the food did not match the price that is for certain.
For the same price, the Kanela Breakfast Club a block away was a much better option.
In all, not a great experience.
Great place to grab some breakfast in Streeterville. Inside is bright and spacious. Plenty of seating. Good for groups. I got the biscuits and gravy. Really good. Good portion size too. The pancakes are great too. They do good simple 2 eggs plates too.
Service was great. Friendly staff. There's street parking or some garages within a block or two.
Yolk was a great place to stop in for a quick hot delicious breakfast. I ordered the scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and seasoned potato platter and it was amazing. Yolk has a great location on the corner where you can sit inside or outside and in the summer, it’s fantastic to sit outside. Service was quick and friendly and I recommend anybody’s visiting Chicago please stop by Yolk.
