Best WLM Reviews
Cool place in Preston Center. Wait for brunch was approx. 20 minutes, but we were sat before then. Tried the strawberry mimosa carafe! I do feel like it was more juice than “spirits”. My daughter’s kids meal was super fresh and seasoned. However, our pancakes tasted and felt like play dough. Overall a nice experience, but I don’t have to return.
Great meal, we were missing a few things when the food came that ended up never coming. Other than that the food was great.
With so many other great breakfast spots in Dallas, don't waste your weekend here.
First off, the service here is good. We went in without reservations, and the guy at the front really hustled to get us a booth set up quickly.
Our server was not attentive - but the place was so so busy that I truly understand. It got me excited to eat! Then ... The food came.
We got a latte and a hot cocoa. Latte was milky, nothing to write home about.
Ordered the breakfast Mac and a skillet. The Mac and cheese was runny and watery. The gravy was cold. Potatoes were way over salted, and it made the whole skillet taste salty.
After seeing how busy the place was, it was disappointing that the food did not match.
As for atmosphere, it's just loud. There's so much noise and not enough sound absorption in the building. If you get over stimulated - do not come here on a weekend.
There was nothing that really charmed me to the place as a breakfast joint, which made it all the more disappointing.
Overall - there's been a lot of hype built around this spot, and it did not live up to it.
*I am always willing to give places a second chance, unless I get food poisoning*
Great service from Claudia and Saul!
I got the 5-egg omelet for about $18, and I was delicious. It came with sausage, bacon, pancakes, way more than I could eat. So I asked for a to-go box, and immediately Claudia offered a free to-go coffee. Exceptional service and friendly staff. Great restaurant.
This has to be the best breakfast restaurant I've ever been to. The food is absolutely amazing! They sell more than breakfast but that is my favorite! The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing. I live in Austin but whenever I'm in Dallas I come here. Claudia is a gem. She was awesome and whenever I go there from now on, I'm going to ask for her. Don't sleep on this spot. You will be missing out!
Relatively decent place for brunch especially if you are a big pancake lover. Ordered the avocado toast, the chicken or the egg sandwich, lemon blueberry pancakes, banana foster latte, and cappuccino. The coffee was okay. I wouldn’t order the banana foster latte again though. It was really sweet and lacked the coffee taste. If you like sweet coffee, you should try it! If you don’t, beware. I also wasn’t a big fan of the toast. Presentation was really pretty but didn’t taste that good. I couldn’t even finish it. Maybe I should’ve known better than to order something like that at a place call Yolk…I would like to come back and try other dishes like their omelettes or scrambled eggs because I’m sure that’s what they specialize better in than toast. The chicken in the sandwich was good though! Not really seasoned, but it was juicy so a little bit of ketchup helped. But the pancakes were the bestttttt!!!! So good and flavorful! It’s a huge portion and you can definitely share it with more than two people. I also like how they leave a water carafe-like glass at your table so you can refill your own glass at your pace. Service was great too! I want to give this place another try so I expect to be returning soon to try other items on the menu!
I recently visited this breakfast spot and found it to be a solid staple in the area. The atmosphere is energetic and bustling, especially during prime breakfast hours, which adds to the overall vibe. My service was good, and the food was decent, with pricing that felt fair for what I received. I opted to sit at the counter since I was dining solo.
However, I do have a concern that affected my experience. The gentleman managing the front of house was clearly efficient and organized, but the way he communicated was quite disruptive. He was yelling out orders and calling out to the staff, which created a very loud environment. It was so intense that I found myself plugging my ears, and the patron next to me even had to put in noise-canceling earbuds!
While I appreciate the hustle and bustle of a busy breakfast spot, the volume level was excessive and took away from the enjoyment of my meal. I hope this feedback can help improve the experience for future guests. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for its food and service, just be prepared for the noise level!
Incredible. Every dish there was exceptional, but the cinnamon roll French toast was like, life-changing ????
Great service, they accommodated us with our 2 yr old and Matt was an awesome waiter! Nothing but good things to say, I hope they open up a location further North.
