Best WLM Reviews
Had the unfortunate worst experience at this office today. My appointment was scheduled for 10:15, I was called back about 11:30 to be asked a few questions and pressure check…just to be told I’d have to go back to the waiting area because it was still another 30-45 minute wait until I could even get placed in a room.
I explained that I asked for time off from work to accommodate their appointment, this is not acceptable. I ended up having to leave to return to work and rescheduled for a later date.
Seems as if ALL patients for the day are being crammed into the early morning hours so they can close their offices earlier. Very frustrating to have scheduled an appointment for a reason, to not be able to be professionally accommodated.
Look elsewhere if you are unable to wait a few hours to be seen!
Awful. First I was given medication which gave me side effects to where I missed work. My job wanted documentation in which I did not know they would ask and I called and requested the next day since I work night shift and they are closed during that time. They said “well why didn’t you call yesterday” and how “this is the last time” when they give me documentation.
I went in for my appointment in which I was sent one of the most dense nurse practitioners and not my regular one. She just wouldn’t stop mentioning birth control after every question I had and would not shut up about birth control as a solution.
I went to another Dr and was told I have prolactinoma.
Well she did deliver my health baby boy, but lack of communication at delivery for sure. Each visits was stressful first thing she always told me was I gain weight and I will pay for it or at delivery I started at 145 ended at 180 so I fell was not to bad for pregnancy.(at least for me was stressful every 2 weeks that I gain 2-3 lb up to the last weeks). At delivery was instructed how I was going to push the baby out the Dr. had her own breathing ways and was a little different and difficult due to getting an epidural and could not fell below the waist. She walked in and just started at the point of each contraction she would want me to hold my breath and push one the baby was out before I know it she was gone.
Here’s Dr. Lagunas with Baby Eliana and my son, Dad Benjamin whom she also delivered 28 years ago. We’ve gone full-circle. ❤️????
Thank you Dr. Lagunas!

This hefa really said l would never give birth again because of my weight, age and diabetes. I just had a baby two months ago and she's perfect, this type comments really hurt my feelings and I didn't use any kind of contraceptive because of her rude medical advice, any people like her shouldn't practice that line of work if they can't be nice.Upon my second visit with her in 2021 she gave a look like what are you doing here because she had passed me down to another OBGYN she begun an ultrasound and said oh it's gone theres no heart beat and you are going to misscarried. I was devastated ????
NOT MILITARY OR VETERAN FRIENDLY!!!! Turn back now! They do not follow VA recommendations on referrals, straight quote from the office manager “the VA wants you to be seen every six months, but WE do not think that is necessary”. The office manager is rude, hostile, and should not be working in the medical field!!!
We are hoping this review will help others avoid a future experience like ours. We attempted many ways to resolve our situation because we believe in giving second chances, but unfortunately we have to write this review. On our first visit, we were told by the Office Manager that our portion would be $325 Cash for the initial consultation, and the next four office visits would be broken down into payments of $460. We were told that we had to pay cash, and if we chose to pay by card it was an additional $30. The issue here is we not only have private insurance, we also have a secondary insurance. When speaking to our insurance provider, we were advised that it is against their contract to charge their members more than the $40 copay for the type of service that was rendered. The Office Manager was rude and aggressive when I questioned these charges. She advised me that my secondary insurance wouldn’t help cover anything at their office. She stated they charge the delivery up front regardless of if you have insurance, to ensure that they get paid. We no longer felt comfortable with doing business with them, and when we switched providers our insurance advised us to request an immediate reimbursement, or to file a legal complaint with the BBB. After requesting our reimbursement, we were told we would have to wait until the insurance processed all claims. Once we verified that all claims were processed by our Insurance, they are now claiming that we have to wait until they receive the check from the insurance. They refuse to give us a specific date to receive our reimbursement, but they are now advising us that it will be 4 to 6 weeks after they get the check from the insurance. Our question is why should our money be held hostage if the payment we are requesting a reimbursement for was for services that were not yet provided. We strongly caution anyone who is going to be seen here as a patient to educate yourself about your insurance benefits and your copays. We hope this review can help someone out there from going through this experience.
While I respect every doctors opinions and form of professionalism.. I hate to say that Dr. Lagunas was simply not the right place for myself and or coming into my first pregnancy.. every time I came for an appointment the staff and especially the front desk was extremely unhelpful and at times rude and snobby. Mind you, I was here from my first trimester to the beginning of my third trimester.. and not once did I feel welcomed. The young female who takes temperatures at the entrance never greets you and has nothing to say expect "please fill this out" referencing to the form they have you fill out for COVID purposes. When dealing with Dr. Lagunas herself.. I felt more like a caseload with a number rather than a patient/mom to be.. Some comments on here refer to her having good bedside manners... but on the contrary during my experience she did not.. it was almost like for being a mother I was being given burdens for getting pregnant. Dr. Lagunas definitely has her way with words, and she did not fail to make me feel shameful or guilty for gaining weight during my pregnancy. Which ironically some comments also say she lacks a professional approach when talking about mothers having weight gain.. I do accredit Dr. Lagunas with her knowledge and being an OB/GYN.. but this is not an experience or stress that mothers need to deal with .. let alone if this is your first.. The only helpful staff member I can mention is the very patient lady who charges you at the end of your appointments for any copay/fees. I believe the saddest part is that at least half of the comments for this office are negative and still the staff or Dr. take no measures to improve in costumer services or efficiency tasks to better assist with clientele and or the services they provide. I originally chose Dr. Lagunas for the convenience in location and that she was within network of my insurance. Ultimately I did end up switching Dr. for OB/GYN and medical services with my pregnancy and I couldn't have been happier with my decision. Listen to your intuition and if you do not feel comfortable, let alone feel any support from your doctor.. please consider switching services. Your pregnancy journey should be encouraging and a proud moment, not a guilt trip.
