What a great campground. Very kid friendly. A lot of activities for the kids to do. The pool is not heated but you get used to it fast. They have ice cream and a food truck on grounds. Golf cart available but pricey; $80/day with a 2 day minimum and everything is close enough you don't really need one. Love the water wars!
We booked a full hookup site to accommodate a 35 foot fifth wheel. The site was so narrow that our awning was less than 2 foot from touching the neighbors camper. Our slide-out was hanging into the other neighbors site. There was a tree stump right where you step out of the trailer. Bathrooms were in very less than desirable condition on 3 occasions I used them. A premium price for much less than expected.
Please do not waste your hard earned money at Jellystone Milton. We went in the summer of 2023 and the cabin was absolutely filthy with dirty underwear left in the bedroom. The screen on the screen porch had holes big enough for a small animal to crawl through. The cookware was absolutely not usable. The swimming pool was filthy and falling apart.
We decided to give the place another try this year. We paid a resort fee of $9.00 dollars per day per person for activities. There has not been one single activity and the activity center is locked. Management will not return my call. We will not give them a third chance.
Use to enjoy Jellystone with the family for many many years. However since the "fees" were tacked onto an already higher priced stay, we decided to go elsewhere. It's truly a shame. This campground is a gold mine with the correct management. Many campgrounds are sold out on holiday weekends....not this place. That should tell you something.
We had a great experience here. This is our third Yogi bear campground we have been to and can't complain! Staff were very professional and friendly. Yogi and his friends are out and about often. A ton of activities for kids. Splash pad is great and I do love that it is completely separate from the pool (no worries with your little ones). I wish you could bring your personal golf cart, that would be our one disappointment.
Otherwise we had a great time!
First, and most importantly, my son had a great time. The places to play were absolutely on point for what my seven year old would want.
Plusses:
--Location was great. Near rte 80 and close enough to a Walmart and a Starbucks that we could easily get things we forgot the first night and grab the kids' favorite non s'mores treats on the way out. The property itself was pretty and the Susquehanna River is nearby and very scenic. There are a few restaurants nearby that look fun if you get tired of a campfire
--the staff I encountered were lovely.
Minuses:
--i wish quiet time started at 10 rather than 11 and that there was less alcohol. Obviously, if you like drinking till 11, that's a plus for you, but the noise kept my youngest awake.
--imo, there weren't enough bathrooms, they weren't in great locations, and they weren't very well maintained. Specifically, it would be nice to have some bathrooms/changing rooms closer to the splash pad and other major play areas. They are just far enough from everything that I couldn't send my youngest by himself, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one with that problem. And, I know campground bathrooms aren't always perfectly maintained, but more toilet paper would be helpful!
--i only found one place to get fresh water for our water bottles.
--our plans kept changing, so I booked different nights for our tent at different times. But, at check in, I was told that we had the same site for both nights. Someone was actually booked at that site for the second night, which was awkward. We ended up leaving early bc our plans changed yet again and both of the kids were getting sick.
Overall, we may come back bc my kids loved it. But, a few little details could make it much easier for one parent supervising more than one kid.
Editing my review based on feedback from my family, which overall really enjoyed the stay. The water park was a big hit, as were the daily activities and general enthusiasm of the staff. We are planning on coming back again, and maybe either trying a different cabin type (like the covered wagons) or just pitching a tent.
Maintenance eventually came out and fixed the hot water issues noted below, but only after an entire day was gone. The broken entry blind was fixed on our last night there. Everything else was left broken.
Original review below from our time in one of the cabins:
Our cabin is in need of major repairs, not getting basic maintenance before the season started. Most notably, there is no hot water, a major selling point of paying a premium for a cabin. I could have gotten a cabin without a shower, and just used the convenience hut and saved a lot of money. We will be using the convenience hut showers anyways it looks like.
The blinds over the front door window have been torn to shreds by a dog at some point and we had to cover it by a towel last night for privacy. Multiple light bulbs are burned out or missing. There are gouges in the pocket doors where someone clearly drove a screw or a nail through it and then forced the door shut. The supposedly screened-in porch is totally busted with the screen on the door barely hanging on. There are multiple wasps in nests underneath the railing that are flying in through the ripped door and the other baseball sized holes. I just noticed that the oven door does not actually shut. It is partially bent and the door doesn't close all the way. I had a recipe that involved boiling potatoes that I planned just because we were in this cabin that I can't do.
I was told that maintenance can't come into the cabin unless someone is present. So I've been waiting in this cabin for the last 5 hours, calling multiple times, and no one's come by.
I've lost half a day here and counting just waiting for repairs that should have been done before we showed up. I've been told that the site is booked and we can't change spots, let alone cabins.
One of the ways I was able to convince my family to come 'camping' is by booking this expensive cabin versus a standard campsite. Hopefully they'll be distracted by the activities and not be too put off by how beat up the cabin is, the wasps and the lack of screens, and the lack of hot water.
I was a visitor for the day. This is my 3rd time there. I have never seen the facilities as clean as they were. I spoke to the 2 gals on Saturday and told them what a awesome job they were doing. When you visit I believe that it should be recognized. I have recommended this park to several if my coworkers. They love it as well.
