Such a great week at Jellystone and it’s all thanks to Roger Manning who works there and also happened to be camped near us. He went above and beyond every single day to make sure our stay was enjoyable and his great personality only added to the fun. He helped us with our camper, navigate the park, kept us up-to-date on event times and was super kind to our pups. Not only did Roger make our stay amazing, we saw him constantly engaged with visitors throughout our stay and was helping everyone around him. We now have a life long friend and a wonderful park to visit in the future. I really hope Roger will receive the recognition he deserves and a pay raise for his efforts. He alone made the trip worth it and will be the reason we return in the future!!! THANKS ROGER :)
We have been here many times but this was a complete disappointment. We paid the high price because when we booked there were many activities for our kids. They had NONE of those activities! They finally let kids do crafts on their own. They did show the movie at dark. The office never opened at the advertised time. App times, nor the time the schedule said they sent out the day before !! We don't feel the price we paid was anywhere close to the activities especially when the pool is closed in November the activities should be even more!!! We have advertised for this campground through word of mouth for years. I am so shocked!!!
We stayed here in our camper. It was a nice level concrete spot. The campground store has lots of great merchandise. The pool is huge and very nice. They have a lot of things for kids and d families here and are adding a huge lake with lots of water activities for it. It is close to the interstate and the cute towns around are quaint.
My wife and I were nervous about staying due to us being apart of the LGBTQ community. But once we arrived, our nerves quickly went away. Would recommend to anyone in the community as they are quick to make anyone feel welcome!! Special shout out to Roger Manning!!! He was the kindness worker and the most gracious to help in any way. It was an absolute pleasure to camp near you. My wife and I were so impressed with the level of care you give to the campers and we will be back to visit soon :) -Ally & Sierra
For a campground that's open year round it's cozy and nice, and Amanda in activities is the best. While you can't expect the same service in summer as the cold season for obvious reasons, my kids have a place to socialize and enjoy a public surrounding year round. Keep it up.
Absolutely AMAZING camping experience! Greeted by the friendly staff as soon as I pulled up and throughout the entire trip.. the absolute best staff of any campsite I have ever visited! So much fun for kids and adults of all ages with so many fun activities to do for the entire family! Clean pools, clean showers and restrooms and a very clean park! I was in tent site #86 and it was sized perfect with a great amount of shade, power and water! Wesley and Vivian are the BEST! From the hey hey rides, activities, foam party’s and beyond they are awesome and made us feel like family! Be sure to check this site out! You won’t regret it! I look forward to a lifetime of more memories with my family!
The first time I took my grandchild to this park was 10 years ago. The park was pristine at that time and the activities were on point/timely and you didn't have to ask if an activity was going to take place. There were several workers there, but one particular young lady seemed to be overseeing alot (my 9 yo granddaughter noticed). The grass needed mowing, there was a 7 ft weed growing in the puttputt area as well as other weeds, the mining unit was broken. This could still be such a great place with some TLC. Half of the outside wall of our cabin was off (the cabins are pretty expensive). I believe the most disappointing part was that this is a kid friendly campground, and we smelled Marijuana the entire stay...we believe it was coming from a cabin a couple down from our cabin. Of the 5 times we have been, I wish I didn't feel the trip was a downer.
We stayed at Campsite 86. It had electricity and water , which was nice. Most of the area was dirt and tree roots, which made it a little difficult to find a good spot for the tent. There is a retention pond right across with very loud bullfrogs that croak all night long. This made it hard for me to sleep, but I’m a light sleeper. Speaking of pond, the website states there is fishing at this park, that is FALSE! There is no pond to fish in and nowhere to fish at this park. So, please do not be like me and waste money on fishing gear you will not be able to use.
The park itself is not big. There is a small mini golf, a small jump pad ( I do not recommend using while the sun is out, it is VERY hot), a toddler pool and another pool only reaching 4 1/2 feet deep I think. They have a gem mining activity, but it was not up and running. They play a movie every night at 9 and have a playground, but it’s really only for small kids. They had a few free activities, but most things you have to pay for including seeing Yogi Bear, which I thought was a little much. The park was very packed and it felt like everyone was on top of each other because there is only so much to do.
They are in the middle of construction and expanding. It would be nice if they expanded and added more things to do or even a pond. There is already triple the amount of space for cabins, RV ‘s and tents so I really hope that’s not what they are expanding for.
We actually left a day early. Was not at all what we expected. Better luck next time.
