We absolutely love our experience at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park! We stayed for a month, and the affordable rent was well within our budget, making it an excellent choice for a family getaway. We were in Boo Boo Cabin #2, which, at first glance, seemed small from the outside. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness inside. It was very comfortable, featuring a bunk bed for the kids and a cozy futon. The cabin was well-equipped with a microwave, fridge, heater, and AC, although an AC upgrade could be a nice addition for everyone's comfort in hot weather.
The park itself has undergone significant improvements with the new management, and I must say, they have truly turned this place around for the better! I recall visiting two years ago, and it was not in very good shape then, but now it looks fantastic. The overall atmosphere is inviting, and it’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into making this a family-friendly destination.
The activities available for kids are fantastic! My child absolutely loved everything, especially the playground, rock climbing wall, and gem mining areas, which were huge hits. Each day was filled with fun at the pool, where we spent countless hours swimming and enjoying the sun. The variety of activities provided kept our days full of adventure and excitement.
Overall, our stay at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park has been a memorable one, and we will definitely be back whenever we get the chance. This place is a hidden gem, perfect for families looking to create lasting memories!
Whitney did an amazing job with activities. The weekend activities were great. A lot of the activities during the week you had to pay and were self guided activities.
Carey was always willing to help out where ever she was needed.
The office staff for the most part were helpful and would go out of there way to help you. Roger went above and beyond helping us out before we got to the campground
. The cafe staff was great but the food could have been better.
We loved the shaded pull through sites but would have preferred if they had more concrete sites.
There are a group of kids that live full time at the campground that do bully and physically attack other children and are not supervised. Our experience at this campground would have been a lot better if they were not there.
The negative was a septic issue that was not taken care of for 10 days. So we couldn’t empty our tanks fully without having it back up onto the grass and lines during this time. The septic lines needed to be snaked once this happened we were fine.
I have to review this place with 4 stars. We rented a campsite just to find out it was located way past the park and amenities. The campsite isn't even located on map at all so was very misleading and confusing. We felt we were getting put in the rough side of the camp. Trash leading down the gravel road and the platforms were wood slacks held up by blocks looked very unstable. They had a portable toilet as the bathroom. We were very unimpressed. We went back up to ranger station located in the middle of the park. They were very understandable and upgraded us to a rv pull through site that was right next to the inflatable slides and bounce house. Which was a great location for the kids. We didn't mind the new location and got to enjoy the park even more. The road could use an upgrade. The pool is on the small side and some amenities could use and uplift. The pond is where they have water inflatable course that cost $10 an hour due to having to hire a lifeguard. The provided swimming area in the pond could be bigger for the kids. The playground is laid out well with a rock climbing wall. They have plenty of activities for the kids to do as long as to purchase the items to do said activities. They will provide supplies which in my opinion is well worth it and the experience with the kiddos. They do local bands movies and popcorn's. The foam pit could use and update to a bigger space and not so much mud. All in all we enjoyed our stay and will look forward to coming back in the future. Just hope they will get showers and bathroom at campsites and updated plots and will be an awesome campsite. Keep up the great work.
We are locals and this was our first visit here. We had a great time, there is a lot to do and we stayed busy playing the whole time. At one point my daughter locked her keys in her car, the staff went above and beyond to help us with the situation and it was resolved without having to call a locksmith. The staff is fantastic!! The general manager came around more than once to ask how everything was going, making sure everyone was having a good time and seeing if we needed anything. My husband went to the ranger station/camp store and asked if they sold grill brushes. They didn’t have any but the general manager went and bought one and brought it to our cabin. You cannot get better service than what they provided. Thank you!! We appreciate y’all!! We had a blast!
Campground was decent. We have stayed before and this place could be really great but nothing has been updated over the years. Location is pretty good as far as getting to the beach.
Child’s phone got lost during stay, after leaving and contacting staff they stated they would for it, they found it, & said they would be sending out. Last call made to them they stated they had no idea what we were talking about. 1 year and some months later, the phone was turned on and still within the state. Bad service guys, not cool to steal from customers and especially children.
Beautiful place! Stayed for 3 days..have so much to do.. a splash park, swimming hole with obstacle course, gem mining, wagon rides, we stayed at the ranger cabin and it was great! Awesome camping store, and you can even rent golf carts! the staff is wonderful n so helpful!! Can't wait to go back♥️
We are from Tennessee and planning a vacation to the Gulf Shores and saw the Jellystone here in Elberta, AL not far. Having stayed at 2 other Jellystone's one multiple times we assumed this would be a good experience. WRONG! I am currently sitting in my camper writing this because we woke up with NO water. Bugs are awful because the campground is not maintained and not clean! I haven't even been able to sit outside my camper and enjoy camping. Our site has a huge whole right outside our camper door we could get hurt if we didn't notice it. The roads are not maintained full of big potholes. The pool area is not clean, there are busted water balloons everywhere. Nothing is clean the cafe porch has food all over where nothing has been cleaned up. Ice machine is broke, washer is broke, and all the staff except the lifeguard at the obstacle course on the water. She is the only good part of this experience. When waiting on events that are listed in the handout given to us and on the app and asking the staff about it then them being very rood and not even knowing what is going on. All the full time campers have taken all the good spots and they have trashed the sites no maintaining a nice clean environment for us campers it looks like a trailer park in the bad part of town. It has been an awful experience for our family and unless major changes are made we will not be back and we will be writing a review and telling all our friends to not come here. It was further then we wanted to be from the beach but because we have had such good experiences at the Mammoth Cave, and Horn Lake locations we chose to stay here for the campground. Now we are very disappointed! DO NOT GO BY ANY PICTURES YOU SEE ON THE INTERNET! They are deceiving and WRONG!
