We stayed in a rented camper here. The toilet, bathtub, and refrigerator were impressivey clean. The trashcan could use a wipe down. The floors also looked clean. The cabinets and everything were caked with dust, definitely need a deep clean. Also the tub spit out black debris when turning on. It would be nice if there were more activities during the week, especially during school fall break time. The twin bunks are not actually twin sized, if you are staying you need to bring full sized sheets to cover them. The kids loved the jumping pillow, but it isn't big enough to accommodate all the kids that were on it at one time. We did call on maintenance a couple times, and they addressed our needs promptly. Staff in office were great. The creepy creatures in the woods are scary for littles.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here, just not sure if we will be back. The pool was ice cold & advertised as heated. My 2 year old wouldn’t really get in the water. We were excited about the hay rides, but they never had one during Friday-Sunday while we were there. Our cabin was really old & needs maintenance. Our grill did not work at all, so luckily we brought our own. The coffee pot still had a leftover filter with coffee in it and kitchen utensils were dirty, left on the porch.
With the price we paid for our cabin, my expectation was much higher.
We scheduled a last minute trip here before school. It was perfect for our kids. They loved to ride the golf cart around and lots of activities for the kids! We are already planning a group family trip next year!
Overall enjoyed our stay here in terms of the swimming water areas was perfect for our kids ages 3&5. We stayed during the week and didn’t know when any activities were happening. My only complaints were we rented a cabin and we HORRIBLE ant issue. I’m mean there were every where, bathroom, beds, kitchen. The door is damaged allowing pests in, as well as water when it rained. Upon arrival the microwave was not clean from previous tenants and the beds were equal to sleeping cement slabs. This was our first time “camping” but hoping this isn’t a typical experience.
Only went to the water park. It was absolutely the best time ever! The layered design gives you options to fit all your swimming needs. Atmosphere is so fun! I felt very safe having the kids there.
Not coming back again. Rented 2 Hoosier hideaway cabins Monday through Friday. We had high hopes since we stayed last year for a weekend and had a blast. This time not so much. Screen door was fixed, last year it was torn, but had to have maintenance attach the knob, it was sitting on the railing at arrival. No wifi the entire time, had we known, we would have been prepared instead of counting on a movie or show for end of night chill time with 4 kids. Shower in one cabin shot water over the stall onto the wooden door and wall. The other shower screamed when you turned it on. Maintenance was able to come down and correct it but then we discovered the shower leaked by the toliet. One cabin had smashed pop tarts in the loft under the mattress from previous campers. Lots of ants in there. Our cabins tv was replaced with an extremely small one, that was never set up. We turned it on hoping to cast from my phone anyway but it was in set up mode. With the battery missing from the remote. Requested 2 dish kits, 7 people with 2 cabins. Got one. It had 3 forks. Dishes weren't really clean. Was told we would get another dish kit if it became available, never did. I would think there would be enough for each cabin. Staff in the shop were friendly, which was lovely since last year's staff was kinda rude. But some we encountered during activities were not. You can't expect everyone to sit at one single table in the pavilion when my group alone fills a table. Was not worth the money spent. We've stayed at other Jellystone's, loved them. Did love this one last year. Now, none of the kids want to go to another Jellystone. Such a disappointment, especially when you only go on a vacation once a year.
First time campers at this location. The camp sites were surprisingly primitive, which we thought was great, just be prepared to deal with mud if it rains lol the activities with the bears were awesome and the pools / splash pad area was a blast. Kids also loved the jump pillow and playground. There's laundry facilities, a nice camp store, ice cream shop, and food truck. Camp store is pricey though. My only real issue was with the bathrooms, the silver trailer had lots of gnats in the pipes for some reason so you don't want to hit that foot peddle to flush the toilets ....trust me. And the main bathrooms all the shower stahls doors were broken, this lead to an extremely scary stressful situation for me when I tried to shower with my two toddlers. They got scared of the water and ran out of the stall into the main bathroom while completely baked. I was also naked and all soaped up, I tried getting them to come back but they wouldn't listen, so I had to go out in front of everyone in the bathroom while naked and slippery to get my kids. THANK GOD they didn't escape the bathroom into the park. Please please fix these shower stall doors as well as the lock on the only handicap stall. Would like to come back but the shower stalls being broke is likely a deal breaker with 2 little ones. It's a HUGE issue and caused me to take away 2 stars from my review.
The Park was decorated for Fall/Halloween. I think they even had trick-or-treating and a haunted trail. (If it wasn't a haunted trail....then something terrible happened!!! LOL). Fun place to camp.
