Best WLM Reviews
For a quick bite, this place was sufficient.
The rum punch was lacking rum, so we ended up ordering a separate shot for our drink. The tacos were pretty good. Fried grouper was delish, the firecracker shrimp was way too sweet and the steak was too chewy.
All and all we had a good view and good service with decent food.
Fun place to hang out and great food and drinks. While my companions went for the cheaper "happy hour" drinks, I had the Pain Eraser. It was so delicious I decided to have two. Might have even went for three but they're pretty pricey. No I'm not a drinker but they were just that good! Word of advice. If you're feeling very hungry, don't order the Mexican pizza (regular size) for just you. It will serve several people. If it's happy hour, ordered a smaller one unless you're sharing it. The brisket queso was okay but I was expecting shredded brisket instead of large chunks of brisket which would have made it better. I was the only one who had a complaint about that, everybody else at the table thought it was amazing. The Firecracker shrimp taco was heavenly. I wish I had ordered 3 of them. I had the peanut ginger tacos which were great but no comparison to the Firecracker shrimp tacos. My friend had the tuna poke bowl and said it was delish! I would definitely eat here again if I'm ever in the area.
Tacos were tasty. The Fried Grouper, by far, was the best. Blackened Shrimp was 2nd best, and Firecracker Shrimp was our least favorite. The shell was too big for the small amount of protein.
The Honey Lime Chicken Burrito was just ok. Nothing outstanding.
Ordered a side of fries so I could try the Jamaican Jerk chciken wing sauce. Pretty decent, but I would have reached for some hot sauce had I got it on wings. Decent flavor.
You pay for the atmosphere. Incredible location and view.
Hanna was our server, and she is AMAZING!! It was a hot, sunny evening, and she ran her butt off.
The hostess station was struggling. They should be better prepared for large crowds on event evenings. They got slammed and fast. It did, however, only take us 15-20 minutes to get seated.
Definitely recommended the Fried Grouper tacos, if nothing else.
Do not come to this roach motel. We had about 5 roaches scurrying around as we had our meal. Two other groups got up and left before they had been served. We weren't so lucky on the timing. I can find some forgiveness for an FDA nightmare of a place if the food is amazing, but our tacos were lackluster at best, and terrible at worst. The steak taco was a single strip of steak fat taking 5 minutes to chew. The firecracker shrimp taco was the only good thing I had during this experience. Our server was a new employee. Kind and humourous, asking if we brought the roaches in with us.
The atmosphere of this restaurant was great- by the water and had live music.
First, Salsa was disappointing and tasted as if it was from the jar.
For the main dish, I ordered the honey lime chicken burrito with no pinto beans.
When I received the food, it was made with beans and had some mystery topping on it. The waitress stated that the food is pre-prepared so they cannot make changes to the burrito- had I known or was told after ordering, I would’ve ordered something else.
The server nor the manager could tell me what the topping was since it did not look like salsa verde, queso and cilantro. The server guessed and said it might be some kind of chipotle sauce. In the end, the only answer I got from the manager was “yeah it doesn’t look right.”
The manager apologized, asked if we were locals, stated she “didn’t want to leave a bad taste in our mouth,” and gave us a coupon for free cheese dip with a purchase.
Honestly, if the queso dip looks like what was on the burrito, we will pass on the cheese dip too.
The manager mentioned they own several other restaurants, needless to say after our experience, we aren’t interested in trying any of them.
Service was slow and lackluster- if you are looking for even somewhat quicker service, this is not the place. Our server brought us a sweet tea we initially ordered only when it was time for the check and we were waiting to leave.
Overall, disappointed is an understatement.
This will be the first and the last time we visit.
We have endeavored on a taco tasting journey and were disappointed in this local restaurant. The food was beautifully prepared but lacked flavor. Even the cocktails were lacking something. However, the cucumber jalapeño margarita had so much potential. The tastiest part of this taco stop was the guacamole sampler and the best taco out of the three was the El Pastor which was dressed with a pineapple slaw. The service was good considering there was a car show at the same time. A live band played amazing country hits from the 90’s and 2000’s which was a highlight of this stop. Perhaps we came on an off night but overall would skip this restaurant in the future.
We came to the wharf to hangout for the evening and decided on Yo Ho for dinner. We were greeted by a friendly staff and sat outside by some boats. Our server, Dylan, was amazing. He was very personable and made several great recommendations. We were not in love with the food, but still had a good time there with Dylan.
Recently visited this restaurant for the first time and our party of 6 had a wonderful 10/10 experience. The portions were generous, atmosphere inviting, food delicious, and our server Dillan was amazing. We will definitely be back soon!
