Best WLM Reviews

I’m a fan of Yin Tang and you will be too! You start with an empty bowl and throw in anything you want with a diverse choice of protein like thinly sliced lamb, intestines, meatballs, and tofu products to fresh cut veggies. Then you put it in a scale where they weigh it and you tell them what broth you would like your stuff cooked in. It’s straight forward pricing as all items cost the same as they only care about the weight. It’s $14 per pound and you pay after you’re done eating. Really simple, but great concept. The staff is nice and come by occasionally to make sure everything is up to your standards.
We first discovered this place on accident after a date night at another restaurant in the shopping center had gone wrong. What an amazing restaurant. You can customize your hot pot soup down to the exact amount of every ingredient, and you pay by the pound. There’s a ton of options for both your soup and the sauces for the side.
The servers/owners are always very kind and want to ensure we are satisfied.
Partner and I loved our first experience so much that we came back tonight. I highly recommend it!
Price was $13.99 per lbs. I’d say average 2 lbs or less per person.
I suggest selecting one spicy level higher than you would usually choose. I selected????️but I think I can take ????️????️.
I suggest getting more beef and do not suggest the thin glass noodles, they didn’t cut it so it stays as a big chunk.
And I saw some pictures had blood as an ingredient, when I went blood wasn’t there. ????
Overall it’s a fairly good lunch place. Once in a while works for me.
TIPS SHOULD NOT BE FORCED. The female server looked at my signed check and asked “no tip?” with a passive aggresive attitude, almost as if she was pressuring me to tip. I was a little startled so I gave into her attitude and checked off 15% but now that I think about it, it made me feel really embarrassed. She made me feel like I was in the wrong for not giving a tip when literally all they do is serve water and the food. Everything else is self-service—you literally pick the food yourself. I had a nice previous experience with them and this one thing completely ruined it all. I’m only giving two stars because the spicy broth was good. Please fix your attitude else you’ll keep losing customers.
I'm absolutely obsessed with this hot pot place! The food is incredible, and the broth is beyond delicious. The staff is so friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. 10 out of 10—highly recommended! ????
Was my first time eating at the Yin Tang hotpot place. The service was great and the experience was really neat for being a first timer!
You will wait to be seated, you’ll indicate how many are in your party, then you’ll go to the food selection place, grab a large clear bowl and get the food you like. The pound (lb) cost is $13.99. You’ll grab the food selection, go to the cash register, be charged the bowl weight, and then you’ll tell them what flavor of broth you want (spicy level, or tomato, or some other flavor (flavors are on the left side of the cash register)). Then you’ll wait in your seat, and they’ll bring you your hotpot bowl with food already cooked and hot!! The hotpot is individual it’s not your traditional hotpot where you boil your food as you eat.
The waitress was really kind and refilled our waters and asked from time to time if we needed anything. Will definitely go back!
Wonderful concept and great value. Exceptional variety of ingredients to add to your bowl and you can choose to add more or less ingredients to your bowl to match your hunger.
The main broth is delicious and comes in various spice levels to match your preference. I always make sure to bring the broth home and boil more noodles in it, it's that good.
The atmosphere is pretty good and the service is outstanding, they are always helpful and joyous.
I can't rate this place high enough.
What makes Yin Tang different from other hot pot places are the personalized hot pots and it’s served cooked! You get to choose the vegetables, protein, broth, and spice level and pay by the pound. As of January 2024, it is $13.99/lb. I've also been to the Carrollton location and it's $14.99/lb over there.
The broth is absolutely flavorful and delicious! I get the medium spicy and it’s not that spicy, it does numb your mouth a little bit. If you're looking for some extra heat, then the large or super spicy will work better!
The service is amazing and the staff is always coming up to check on me! I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a lowkey hot pot spot and like to eat alone! DFW doesn't have that many personal hot pot places where they serve it cooked for you! The only other places I know of is all the way in Frisco — that's just too far for me, and Pixiu Malahong Tang — their selection isn’t as extensive and they’re a bit pricier.
