This used to be my favorite bubble tea joint, but after my last few visits I will never order from here again. The taro in our tea was not even mashed or mixed together as the menu described (see photo), but rather dumped in with milk poured on top; it was impossible to drink the taro through the straw, and was basically tasteless despite having "full sugar" (it was not sweet at all). The music was so loud and grating that it was impossible to make conversation. I thought this might just be a one-off mistake, but our classic brown sugar boba was also extremely watered down.
The menu is also out of date. It listed at least six different toppings to choose from, but we were told that 90% of them could not be added to our drink without explanation. Every time I visit, the most popular drinks are "out of stock" several hours before the store closes at both the Redmond and Kirkland locations. Do not expect anything you see on the menu to actually be available.
I hope things improve here in the future. Otherwise, I will be frequenting Sharetea for Redmond-based boba instead.
This place used to be very good but off lately it’s so bad! They don’t even have half of the options from their menu- no adjustments, the lady at the counter is so rude and made horrible classic boba tea. It’s like she gave us just milk & boba! And the peach tea was all watery filled with ice ‘ water no taste! The music is so loud that neither she can hear what you say nor you can! Absolutely horrible service & drinks! Rather head to share tea in downtown- much better taste and people!
I bought a Too good to go surprise bag but came late for pick up. The girls were very nice and even though it was close to the closing time they prepared me some tea cups. They were all good! The pickup window was very short (30 minutes) so I will not back here via Too good to go, but probably to order regularly.
PS: there were dogs in the store but they were not in the prep area and the girls were also not handling them. The dogs were also not aggressive and I actually enjoyed petting them ????
YiFang serves a variety of Taiwanese teas and snacks. My favorites are the Mango Pomelo Sago and Super Trio Milk Tea. There are milk replacement options and many topping additions and customizations available. Service is quite impersonal- ordering is done by tablet and there is little acknowledgement of the customer besides calling the order number.
They will usually prop open the front door on nice days, but when it's not, there isn't much ventilation causing steam (presumably due to tea brewing) to build up in the air and is very visible on the windows. I've found this location runs out of ingredients quite a bit, so your drink of choice might not always be guaranteed.
This shop has really great drinks and tea! I recommend the aiyu lemon green tea, brown sugar pearl with milk, winter melon lemonade, and the mango sago! There isn’t much seating, since the space is quite small. Overall, really great place to get drinks! 100% recommend!
Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea is a standout for fruit tea lovers and was one of the first boba shops we tried in Washington. With numerous locations around the Greater Seattle area, it's convenient to find a shop near you. Their specialty, as the name suggests, is fruit tea. The menu offers a wide variety of fruit teas with numerous topping options.
One thing to note is that their fruit tea tends to be on the sour side. Adding more sweetness or sugar doesn’t significantly alter the tartness, so keep that in mind if you prefer sweeter drinks. If sour flavors are your thing, Yi Fang's fruit teas will likely be perfect for you.
For those looking to try something different, I recommend the Yakult series. My personal favorite is the Earl Grey Black Tea, and for a sweeter option, the Winter Melon Tea is excellent. Overall, Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea offers a great selection of quality drinks, making it a top choice for fruit tea enthusiasts.
Solid boba milk tea place with high quality ingredients. I love milk tea and try it everywhere. The fresh fruit teas and drinks have quality fresh fruit. This is not my all time favorite but one of the go-to places in Redmond. Has really good business even during COVID. If you don't want to wait, just order on your phone ahead of time. Then pick it up from a window in the parking lot. No need to go inside. But inside it smells great because they make the boba there.
The drinks are fine, they taste as expected. I think the issue is that I just don't ever want to go in--the interior is just super unkempt and overall uninviting. You order via a tablet (which is fine) but it's just really obvious that the servers just do not want any interaction. Ionno, maybe it was just my experience, but you'll see if you ever go in that it's not really a sit-down location.
