One of the best Diners on NY. Family run , excellent food and wonderful staff. I had the Frittata breakfast with amazing home fries & rye toast and it was delicious. Thank you all.
Used to go every Sunday before Covid and loved the food and people who worked there. Went Sunday morning at 3:00 am. The pastrami was cut so thick, you could not eat it in the sandwich becauseit was hard. We had to take the pastrami out if the sandwich and use a fork and knife to eat it. The waitress realized that something was wrong so we ended up ordering a lamb gyro. The gyro was very greasy. So we ended up not eating it. The waitress was very sarcastic and we heard her talking smack about us in Spanish not liking the gyro.
Yesterday's Diner is a true gem! The staff's warmth and friendliness create a welcoming atmosphere. Every dish bursts with flavor, making it a delight for the taste buds. Plus, the reasonable prices and quick service make it a perfect spot for any meal. Everything you need in a diner, I'll definitely be coming back for more!
My wife and I love going to Yesterday's Diner. It's a classic American diner with exceptional service and a very reliable menu. We love going here, especially for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, sausage, omelettes, pancakes.........all great and served expeditiously by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Generous portions at affordable prices.
The decor is very eclectic and visually entertaining.

After living in New Hyde Park for almost a decade and never stopping by this diner, I finally went here with friends last night. Let me tell you... the food was amazinggg it all tasted so fresh . We got the empanadas and I got the gyro platter. I'm not sure why people are complaining about the price when the competing diners charge just as much and prices have increased everywhere (sadly). The service was phenomenal. The waitress was super sweet and accommodating. Food came out quick and we were asked several times if we needed something. This diner is adorable on the inside as it's small but can fit quite a few parties. Can't wait to go back here!
Yesterday’s was once an excellent diner. Now ? Not so much, unless of course you like Mexican food. And not even good Mexican food. It’s over priced and underwhelming. They constantly advertise delivery service but never have it when you call and ask. What “American” diner does not deliver? The staff are very sweet and I would love to give them my business, but the food is not worth the price. Sorry, it used to be one of our favorite places to eat in the neighborhood. It’s a shame , like everything else it’s gone down hill.
i made a reservation for 20 people for my high school drama show’s closing night. over 16 people extra ended up coming and despite needing to serve almost 40 people; the workers were incredibly kind and attentive. the service was incredible, our meal was inexpensive (and delicious) and the waitresses and cleaning staff made it such a memorable night for us! we all loved it there and are so greatful for their kindness ????
Great little diner that we frequent. Staff is friendly and remembers our preferences. Food is good, fast and fresh. Always hits the spot. They were a little short handed today but service was still acceptable. They forgot to serve the waffle we ordered or the jello from the child’s meal.
