Best WLM Reviews
Went during a weekday lunch, very pretty decor and quiet atmosphere. Full drink menu was available, not just beer and wine. Started off with a hot and sour soup appetizer, which was flavorful and full of ingredients. For an entrée I ordered the happy family- beef, chicken, shrimp and scallops in brown sauce, with a side of fried rice. A huge heaping portion that I couldn't finish all of, and super delicious. The only two knocks for the meal were the rice- it wasn't exactly fried and just tasted like white rice that had been tossed in soy sauce or something? Still tasted fine, just wasn't really fried. The other thing being one of the scallops in the meal wasn't properly cleaned so it had gritty sand/ pebbles or something attached to it still. No big deal, it didn't ruin the rest of the food, I just avoided eating that one. It happens.
My server was super attentive and sweet, food and drinks both came out quickly. Overall a great dining experience.
We normally order take out from this place a lot over the last 10 years and it has always been our favorite Chinese restaurant. But today we placed our normal order which is always no vegetables. That made half our food with veggies and then forgot an item completely and instead of saying “I’m sorry, how can we make this right?” They just wanted to argue about it. So I drove back up there and got the correct meal with no veggies and the item they didn’t put in the first order. They also wanted the food they fixed incorrectly back (which I don’t think you’re supposed to do that). Well here we are an hour later…my husband threw up most of his and my stomach is churning and I feel nauseous. Idk what they did to the food I had to go back and pick up but it just makes me wonder. Very disappointing!!! We won’t go back after this fiasco! My advice would be, don’t ever send your food back because you don’t know what happens in the kitchen they bring you your replacement. Or better yet, just don’t eat there!
I love the food when eating in. When taking out they limit you on sauces. I use about 4-6 soy sauces on my food and about 2-3 sweet and sour on my egg rolls. I spend enough to get what is need for my meal. The only other suggestion would to add more soy sauce from the table on my food before I leave. I never seen such stingy owners. Remember your customers keep you a float.
The food to me is good...the service is good anf has a nice chinese atmosphere....sit down chinese restaurants are few and far between....the portion could be a little bigger but with biden/ harris economy ...I understand....the hot and sour soup was good...I had hunan chicken...it was good and a vegetable egg roll....no complaints...been here 3 or 4 times
I’ve gotten take out here twice. Both times have been solid. The food certainly isn’t bad but there’s room for improvement. I requested “super crazy extremely spicy” for both my dishes and they made them moderately spicy at best. I know many places do this so they don’t get complaints from people who don’t understand their own spice tolerance so I understand to some degree. Pricing is moderate to moderate expensive. There are probably better values to be found. Overall, give it a shot and make your own opinion!
The food was prepared well. All items were delicious and hot when we picked them up. Everything was done in a timely manner. We highly recommend this place. UPDATE: Ordered almost $200 of food on Mother's Day to go and they said 45 minutes to 1 hour. I arrived at 45 minutes and there were up to a dozen people waiting for their orders. They kept telling everyone who was calling in that their food would be ready in an hour. I finally told them to stop lying to people because it's taking at least an hour and a half to get anything out of the kitchen. It was another hour before I finally got my food. So it was a total of one hour and 45 minutes to get my food. The crazy thing was there were very few orders coming out of the kitchen. There were maybe 20 customers seated at the tables inside and about four waitresses. I don't know what the holdup was other than they may have taken a lunch break because five Papa John's pizzas were delivered while I was waiting. All this to say even though the food was great as always I did not appreciate the way they handled everyone that was waiting, some of them not so patiently, for their food.
This place used to be good. It is absolute garbage now. The food is spiced for a nursing home clientele. I ordered Kung Pao and literally no spice, the rice looked like it had been run through a siv it was so crushed and mush. Not to mention fried rice should taste like, oh I don’t know, fried rice. Not mush with a splash of soy sauce.
The customer service was amazing. I couldn't decide which soup i wanted and i was Given a sample of both while i waited. He was super patient and detailed. My food was fresh and hot. I would Recommend
