Best WLM Reviews
I was excited to visit a Yemeni restaurant ???????? for the first time as I was looking forward to try some of the Yemeni cuisine recipes considering that I tried dozens of international oriented foods.
The employee welcomed me on the phone call when I contacted the restaurant asking for their available menu dishes where he explained that they are vast and tasty. I couldn’t wait to head over there and see the menu and order.
The food arrived in 15 minutes which was nice. We got the falafel first and they where delicious as they were crispy and were served with a tasty sauce. The bread was also good. However, the grill was only good for the beef shish kebab. The chicken shish kebab, lamb shish, and other type of shish were not good at all as the condiments were off balance and had either excessive cumin or too spicy ????.
I also noticed that the water served had bubbles on the glass interior surface and tasted like tab water which was tasting like chlorine. The toilet is lacking toilet barber and air-blower.
Based on my experience will not be visiting this place again and don’t recommend it.
Solid Yemeni food with an amazing menu. Two amazing types of rice choices ( saffron or curry). Their chicken and lamb are fantastic.
Everything is fresh and reasonable prices for quality and quantity
Wonderful ownership and service
Will def comeback
When you know how good Middle Eastern food CAN taste… It’s really disappointing when you try many different places (with good reviews) and they just miss the mark.
We have been in the vicinity of Yemen Grill dozens of times over the last three years. But on this particular day, we were hungry and wanted to support small business so we stopped in.
We will absolutely be back.
From the bright and smooth hummus, to the perfect dance of tart and herbs in the yogurt, the basmati rice deep orange and yellow with a generosity of saffron and very long grains, cooked perfectly… finished with lamb cubes seasoned with a hint of heat and cooked tender and moist.
All of this, AND we were giving great customer service and menu items were patiently explained to us. Bravo, Yemen Grill
First time visit, weekday, around 11am, their opening time.
Spartan, simple, no fuss decor, with the TV tuned in, makes it known, one is in a different country. Very authentic feel.
Menu is varied and the pictures and menu item' description was very helpful.
We decided on Lamb Haneeth and Lamb Tekah but, wanted to know more about the dishes.
No problem, Aqeel, the "man of the house/restaurant" was very helpful in giving us the difference of the dishes.
I got the Lamb Tekah and my lunchmate chose the Haneeth.
We both tasted each other's dishes but, personally, I would put the Tekah above the Haneeth. My lunchmate would beg to differ as she preferred the Haneeth.
That tells you, you won't go wrong with either dishes.
The price is justified by the portion of the meal. It is a bigger portion vs regular restaurants.
Service was ????!
Aqeel was ????!
They serve coffee....Turkish coffee.
And, I, love coffee!
I, of course, have to taste Turkish coffee.
Unfortunately, I'd have to beg off on this coffee. No coffee for me on my next visit.
Will definitely be back to try more of their other dishes.
This place was amazing!
The baba ghanouj was perfect.
We ordered a gyro and usually they are wrapped in those super thick grocery store pitas but this was thin and delicious.
Good fries.
The lamb was great. Hummus was outstanding.
Their rice is fluffy and not bland.
We loved the mint tea.
The owner had been a pleasure each time we've visited.
The food here tastes like it should be in a fancy restaurant.
Everything I've tried so far has been great.
The best Mediterranean food I have ever eaten, the hummus and shawarma were amazing , the service was excellent, the gentleman is very attentive, I would definitely eat here again.
Amazing food , reasonable prices for the quality and portions..we Stopped at this place to have a simple meal but we got more than what we hoped for. The service is attentive, the place is clean and Authentic.
Yemen grill is one of the very few yemeni eateries in Denver. They offer some of the best dishes from Yemeni cuisine. Their food is great, especially the kebobs, lamb and flavorful rice. They definitely have sone room for improvement in terms of their service, helpfulness, presentation etc. thier staffs can definitely do a better job. Highly recommend this restaurant
3 months update : we went this restaurant few times by now, but to my utter surprise they have deteriorated further. Quality and quantity both have fallen. Service and presentation have become worse. We tried grilled fish and lamb Mandi, both tasted worse than before. And i felt like if you speak english or look different you may not get the same treatment as many who speak their language. You now have to pay for the water and the price you pay the quality and quantity does not justify.Sorry to say it was our last visit. Will not recommend
