We stayed in the RV Park in a motorhome. Sites were level, electric was good and the whole place was clean. The restaurant had great food, great service and everyone was super friendly and helpful. There was a great community area behind the office with fire pits and chairs. Also chairs along the creek which is where we sat in the evening to watch the sunset after exploring Yellowstone all day. Highly recommend!
This is an amazing value for the money. Our trip hasn't been the easiest, but this was a perfect place to rest and unwind. The cabin was very clean, wifi strong, the ac works, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The shower is a little tight, but manageable.
There is a nice green space between the main building and cabins with picnic tables, benches, chairs, fire pits, and yard games. Even with all the RVs it is amazingly quiet and the surrounding scenery is beautiful.
There is a laundry room with washers and dryers should you need them. It's $4 per load to wash and $4 to dry (only quarters are accepted).
The pool is small, but perfect for the kids (5ft max depth).
This location is definitely on our list of "must visit again" when in the area.
Keep up the great work!
The Motel was cool, but don't eat here. Be smarter than we were and drive to Cody. Very cool atmosphere all around, very on theme decorations and interior. Beautiful views too!
The restaurant service was friendly but seemed disorganized, and was consequentially slow. We saw several tables that arrived after us be served before we were and I heard orders being delivered wrong/incomplete. Just general chaos unfortunately, and I felt bad for the backed up kitchen and staff under pressure. I don't blame the server, we could see that she was hustling. As a vegetarian I expected to have a hard time finding food here and no surprise, the only thing I could eat was a plain cheese quesadilla. My husband ordered the fish and chips so I could eat his sides... It was advertised as coming with a house salad and a "bread basket," which turned out to be 1 cold, dry roll with ... tartar sauce?? of all things. The house salad was two forkfuls of iceberg lettuce with 1 cherry tomato. It was also supposed to be served with coleslaw, which they had run out of - totally fine, had they informed us at all ????. We ended up laughing about the whole experience and they were so kind as to comp the meal (for waiting for what ended up being an hour), so we don't have hard feelings just wouldn't eat here again.
Edit from the next morning: also do yourself a favor and don't get a coffee here ????
Stayed here Aug 2024, staff friendly and sites had good spacing. The location next ot the river was great just wish they offered access. Did not try bar or on site restraunt. Great location to Cody about 20 mins. Would definetly stay again. Only complaint is how all sites are gravel I enjoy dirt or grass , no big deal tho|Thanks|YVI
My wife and I have been here for a week, leaving out in the morning. We have very much enjoyed our time here, when we were actually here, it is quiet and peaceful.
The views are beautiful, the cabins are cozy, and the facilities are nice.
We attempted to eat here at the lodge once in a week, unfortunately we sat for longer than I thought we should have been waiting on service. I don't know the reason or circumstances. We walked out and went to Cody for dinner.
The staff at the front desk are top notch, friendly folks. Two in particular a young lady I normally encountered in the mornings, and a young man I normally encountered mid-afternoon to even, both made us feel very welcome and delivered excellent service. Only wish I knew their names for the shout out.
Thanks for a great week.
We had an amazing stay here. The energy is unbelievable in this place. The lady owner, Mark, the barista breakfast girl and kitty Jerry were so welcoming, personable and helpful. Definitely would love to come back! Great pool, hot tub, laundry room. Everything is very clean. Cottages are renovated and a/c and heater work perfect. Not too far to Yellowstone, beautiful drive through the valley and mountains. Close to Cody rodeo and museum and the dam.
We got a full hook up camp site here for 4 nights, only stayed 3 because there was no Wi-Fi at all in the campsites. When we travel, I work from the campsite in the mornings. They did not offer to refund my last night so I really overpaid for this site. The only place we could connect to Wi-Fi was if we were at the main building. I did talk to other campers and they had the same issues, so it was not only us. Went and talked to staff that we could not connect, someone was to come over and never did. We only booked this site because they say they have Wi-Fi and full hookups. We could have stayed elsewhere for half the price, without the Wi-Fi. Our cell service did not work at this location, only worked about 5 miles down the road toward Cody. We ended up buying some movies at Walmart in Cody for the evenings. |The sites do not have any trees or grass, it is all gravel (large gravel, not pea gravel), which is hard on my dogs paws. There was a dog off the leash all the time at the cabins and a staff member was over playing with the dog. If my dog needs to be leashed then theirs should be leashed. |Bathrooms and site was clean, that's about all I can say good. I would not recommend this place, unless you are just passing through for one night and absolutely need somewhere to stay.
What a horrible experience! It's started with the front desk staff spouting her political views, and then belittling the near by campsites, and they recommended them. We were over charged ( a few for online reservations), the hot tub was nasty and the whole area was infested with mosquitoes. When asked for a refund because a change in date, instead of trying to nicely explain they don't do refunds, the same front desk person was rude and condescending . Anytime there was a question about anything on the property ( bathrooms, coffee shop, dinning) the staff always referred to a map that looked it was laid out by a middle schooler.Show some love and go to another campsite.
