Best WLM Reviews
Pasta was great. Lots of flavor. We sat inside, and it was difficult to hear each other for conversation, we would have sat outside, but the wind was too much. The hostess and wait staff was excellent. We arrived right at 5 pm and had no wait. The bar area is small, but the fireplace is cute and inviting. We definitely go back again and hopefully sit outside. The portion sizes are generous, and the presentation is pleasant. The prices are very reasonable compared to other places in the area we have dined at.
My husband and I visited this restaurant for brunch and was impressed by the nice atmosphere. I sat at the bar and ordered the Croque Madame and Brix’s burrito, along with chips and salsa, queso, and guacamole as an appetizer. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Our appetizer came out at the same time as our main dishes, which I mentioned to the bartender, but she attributed it to a kitchen issue. To make matters worse, our food was cold, except for the boiled potatoes. Overall, while the ambiance was great, the service and meal left much to be desired.
We were looking for a great place to end a National Parks road trip. Yellow Brix in Carlsbad NM was that place. Excellent menu options included liquor, wine, & beer selections. The roasted grape, goat cheese, & spinach salad was perfect. We also had grilled salmon and mashed potatoes, and, especially, loved the sautéed vegetables! Great service and a super meal. Thanks!
First and last visit. I loved the idea of eating outdoors, the terrace is perfect for this hot weather and is much better than the interior of the restaurant. Now regarding the food, the presentation was good, the portions too, but the prices are a little high for the quality of the food. We ordered the salmon with vegetables and fries which had no flavor. Basic rules of cooking salt and pepper. It was raw, the potatoes were full of oil and the vegetables also very oily . The squid that we ordered as a starter had a good presentation as I already said, a good portion but again wi seasoning NOT FOUND. The only decent thing was the Hamburger by itself. Now the terrible service, I don't know why . I don't know what happened but she literally forgot about us and the only 2 times she came to our table she had a look that she didn't want to be there. The only thing I enjoyed was sitting outside in a warm environment and the bathroom when I went in to wash my hands, which had a nice decoration and very clean. As I said, it is a place I will not return to again.
Breakfast was really good and pretty affordable. I enjoyed the pancakes and French toast. The staff was great too.
We stopped in YellowBrix in Carlsbad, New Mexico during a Summer Road Trip for dinner. After a long drive from Texas, we were starving! We had the chicken tortilla soup (no photo), salmon, tacos and fettuccine with shrimp! Everything was delicious! It hit the spot and filled our tummies! If you are in Carlsbad, New Mexico; check out YellowBrix!
Jenky little place with mediocre overpriced food. Steal was ordered medium rare and served blue, veggies were overcooked and everything was bland. Spent over $150 for two meals and a bottle of wine just to be sat at a table right inside the door with the sun blaring in our eyes. The desert was just a sub par heat and eat item
Yellow Brix is one of the nice restaurant that you can stop by when you visit Carlsbad, New Mexico. The environment is so comfortable with green plantations around the fence. The service is wonderful. They are friendly. And the food is good. In my visit, I had Garlic Shrimp Pasta as my dinner. Thank you.
