Our whole experience was really nice. Staff was quick & very friendly. We had Sophie, she was a excellent waitress! Our food was great, so happy they reopened this restaurant. General Tso's chicken was so good, sweet & spicy & not swimming in sauce. Had beef & Broccoli too, it was also excellent. We will be back very soon! Loved it!
This place has been around since the 50s for a reason. Excellent fresh food and great service! Walking in is like stepping back in time, love it! the hot and sour soup is so good, chicken fried rice is delicious with the bean sprouts in there, and the side of egg roll, sweet and sour shrimp and crab Rangoon that came with our meal was so so good. We had the dinner for two and the sesame chicken and garlic chicken were fantastic too!!
Excellent food here, fantastic drinks while you wait for takeout as well. The breading on the sesame chicken is delicious, that egg drop soup is some of the best I’ve had, and just everything was well seasoned and tasty. Would definitely recommend this place, it’s much better than a lot of the local typical Chinese places I’ve had.
Can’t say a bad thing about the visit today. A group of five friends visited, we all got different things and different apps and shared. Egg rolls, Rangoon, dumplings, two flavors of shrimp… Generals, Sesame, Kung pow, tofu, pork dragon…
Everything was fresh and hot, Staff was friendly and attentive…
Can’t wait to go back, and plan to make it a regular in the rotation!
This place was absolutely packed. They had literally 20+ to go orders and every table was full. It took about 2 hours to get our meal. The food was delicious, the server was very friendly. They were getting orders out as fast as they possibly could, but I just don't really understand why they kept seating guests when they could barely keep up with the guests they already had. We had both else to do, so it was fine to sit for 3 hours at this place before finishing our meL, but normally, that wouldn't be acceptable. I'm giving 5 stars still because the food and service was great, but the logistics need some work. At some point, you have to tell people that the wait will be 2 hours, so that they will leave or just stop seating people inside if you don't have the staff to get food out in a timely manner. Again, the food was delicious.
We had Mr. Yee’s for our dinner tonight! Carry-out! It was outstanding! We waited with lots of anticipation, and as huge fans of the Oriental Inn for over 50 years, we were so very happy with our food! Shrimp Sum Gum, Fried Rice, Chicken Chop Suey, White Rice, and two egg rolls! Absolutely wonderful! Delicious! Fresh! We loved it! Super kudos to the new owners as they truly have nailed it! Oh, yes, we definitely will be back ! Congratulations!
Repost: Went after they reopened and the service is great. The atmosphere is still the same. The chicken wing appetizer is very plain, no seasoning but the bang bang sauce made it worth it! The egg drop soup was perfect and the Chicken mei fun was delicious!! (Pictures prior to closing)
The food is amazing!!! You can tell they use fresh ingredients. We got the egg rolls, hot and sour soup, orange chicken, sesame chicken, pork fried rice and dumplings. Everything was delicious.
