The ice cream is so good. Tried the blueberry cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake, and white chocolate raspberry. It was difficult to decide but glad I went with the white chocolate raspberry.
I have been coming here for years, and it’s really unfortunate how awful it has declined. This place is a disgusting mess. Open food laying around while flies land on it, trash littering the floor. With so many employees working here, you would think it would be significantly cleaner as well as faster. We waited over 30 minutes for 2 sundaes and 2 cones. An employee later told me that the girl helping us was “still in training” but yet not a single person was “training” her. The strawberry shortcake is advertised as “fresh strawberries” but clearly it’s from a can or frozen. Please see attached pictures for proof.
I asked for a chef salad today and see the picture to sew what I got-a tray of lettuce with a dab of cold chicken, tomatoes, a sprinkle of cheese. I called and whoever answered said she could only give me 10% of my next order. Nope, there will not be a next order with you.
First time at this location, I ordered online and everything was ready when I arrived. Wife and I both had the 6 oz cheese burger. It was perfect for me but she said it was too much for her, next time she will get the 4 oz. Small loaded fries are awesome and huge. I prefer fresh cut fries but the crinkle fries were ok. Also plenty of bacon and cheese. Onion rings were also really good. It was way too much food for us to finish. Service was prompt, attention to detail and polite. We will definitely return. Atmosphere is typical burger/ ice cream joint. Lots of families enjoying a meal or treat together.
The scoops are HUGE! I got a small on a waffle cone with two different flavors- it was really good! Should’ve taken a photo of my husbands Starberey cheesecake! Also very good!
I have eaten here since 2011. How did I miss doing a review on this place? I aways order a kids meal because they give you so much and the burgers are huge. The hubby loves their foot long sausage dogs and onion rings. We love Ye Ole Fashion. We've been to all in the area but the Old Trolley location is our fave. ????????
Ye Ole Fashioned Ice Cream and Sandwich Cafe really delivers on that nostalgic burger joint vibe.
The inside is nice and clean, and the employees all look like they genuinely enjoy working here.
Burgers come with either a 4 or 6 oz patty. I decided on the Bacon Cheeseburger in a 6 oz. It comes with lettuce, tomato, sauce, and onions. I made it into a combo, so my total was about $17 after tax.
The burger was perfectly cooked, and the sauce on it went really well with cheese and bacon. I almost went with a double, but was definitely satisfied with the single and the fries. (It was almost a full basket of them, much more than a large fries from a certain golden arches franchise.)
They have crinkle cut fries, and they're cooked just enough to get that crunchy exterior and a fluffy pillowy inside.
They have a large selection of ice cream, but after eating my fill on the combo, I couldn't bring myself to order any, maybe next time.
I definitely recommend this place for anybody looking for a better burger joint.
I will also have to come back for their ice cream, or shakes, or sundaes.
We drove through this location on trolley tonight and received buckets of liquid for $30. That was supposed to be our Sundays. We have been going to this location for years every week and call to try to get this resolved. The manager there asked us to drive the liquid back to them in order to get it remade when I asked if I could come back tomorrow as it was late. That’s not how you treat a customer And who really is going to drive around a bunch of liquid Sundays that will spill all over the car just to get it back to them. Absolutely ridiculous. I’ll never go back to this location.
