This is one of the best spots in Summerville for a meal and dessert all in one place! The menu has a great selection, including fresh salads, their special sandwiches, and a variety of delicious ice creams. We tried several flavors of ice cream—orange sorbet, white chocolate raspberry, birthday cake, and cookies and cream. The birthday cake and orange sorbet were especially fantastic!
The service was prompt and friendly, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I did notice all the employees were women, which was interesting! Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a tasty meal and dessert. 5/5!
Family has been eating here for over 25 years. We love Ye Ole Fashioned! All of the food here is made fresh as you order. No food is already prepared sitting under heat lamps. Please be patient with the employees as each order is hand made. Orders to go have to be made and then packaged for pickup or delivery. Please be mindful that when using the drive through, this is best for picking up an order! If you’re ordering from the drive through ALL of your food has to be cooked and packaged, then delivered to you. Adding these tips to help you get your food as quickly as possible. These kids are working hard and we appreciate the service at Ye Ole Fashioned!
Ok i want to start by saying i order from here near daily as they have my only 2 safe foods right now. Loaded nachos & the fride mac n cheese bites. Everything about this place is 5 stars with the caveat being portion size consistency on the mac n cheese bites... Despite paying the same exact price every single time *a whopping 7.83 per order* about half of the time i get HALF the amount OR LESS as the rest of the time. *SEE PICTURES FOR EXAMPLES OF SIZE DIFFERENCE* the larger box is the size i expect to get everytime & I'm sadly disappointed when i receive the smaller box with a very dissatisfying portion for ALMOST $8 ???? please if managers see this make sure your crew is consistent with their portion sizing! I am willing to pay good money for good food but consistency is absolutely key!
Update:06/26/24- another day another size difference 3 days in a row i have had 3 different portions sizes for the same exact price. If it were the case of ordering small/medium/large that's one thing but to pay the same price everyday & not recieve the same thing.
So im a frequent customer at this location i usually have really good service. But today and recently it has gone downhill. I ordered a blt in rye no lettuce meal. When it was brought to me it was a blt on white full of lettuce. So she took it back to fix. When it was brought back to me it was in rye falling apart no lettuce but didn’t even attempt to toast my bread and my fries where 1/2 way cold. I did tip this person as I believe all food and bev deserves it but this is getting out of hand. Not the finest moment. Maybe I should find another location with toasted bread and better service.
Our first time and it was amazing! Kim was great she greeted us when we walked in and took care of us. She was very good at explaining the menu and how things worked. The food was delicious! I love that it’s made as you order so it’s fresh and hot. After we finished our burgers we went to the ice cream bar and got dessert. The ice cream was so yummy as well. We will definitely be coming back again.
We come here all the time and love everything we get. But this time I was disappointed. Always check your food before pulling off from the drive-thru. I waited 40 minutes for some chicken tenders and fries with ice cream. I am so happy I checked my food before I went home. The chicken looked like someone started eating it. I had no problem getting a refund.
Worst customer service ever. I walked in and no greeting. I only wanted a chef salad. After 5 minutes and no acknowledgement, I walked out. If you have to have ye old fashioned, please visit the one on Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC. Any tourist visiting check out Carolina Ale House on Main Street Summerville. Even the Waffle House on Main Street is better than the Ye Ole Fashion on Main Street Summerville. You can thank me for this review by giving this review a thumbs up.
Wonderful place. Very nice- from customer service to atmosphere. The ice cream had several options to choose from as well as sherbet. Music was lively and exciting. We unfortunately did not try savory foods, but the menu had a wide variety with reasonable prices. Ice cream portions are massive but well worth the price!! Has a drive thru! Clean restrooms and dining area. Would return.
