I had the rib tips, hot link, potato salad and coleslaw. Everything was really good. I took the tip of mixing the gold and hot together and it didn’t disappoint! The prices for good barbecue was also great on the wallet. Highly recommend if you looking for BBQ in Denver.
So I just ate at this Yazoo’s Downtown which use to be one of my favorite places to eat. Well looking closely at my ribs they’re very dried out and hard. The baked beans are over cooked like they’ve been sitting under a warmer all day. This is not the first time I’ve had an issue, I thought you know let me come back another day and maybe it’ll be different buuut months later the dryness was unbearable so I paid for food that nearly got eaten.
So I gave them five stars back when but now I wish I could give them NO stars

The pork rib tips are so tasty Mmmm just mentioned that I'd like to eat a jiffy muffin there hopefully that's coming soon????????
O how I have missed Yazoo. I use to frequent the place they had in dtc years ago and was heartbroken when they closed. The years of craving their bbq finally got to me, which made me take the trip to this location and they did not disappoint! I’m remember everything from Yazoo being delicious, but I generally gravitate to the bob and rib tips.
The guys that run the store are also true gentlemen. I love this place ????
I had the ribs, rib tips, potato salad, brisket. And it was delicious, succulent meat, tangy sauces of all different varieties. The guys working downstairs in the meat carving area are super friendly and helpful. Very reasonable prices. Went upstairs drank beers and ate on delightful outside roof bar area.
For a semi first time having a BBQ, Yazoo was a very traditional BBQ spot with a slight modern twist on decor. It's very homey and bar-like but the rooftop experience is really where it's at. Walking up the stairs to fresh air and a lovely bartender named Becca was refreshing. She's very quick, witty, and her sense of humour is easily my favourite in Denver! The brisket, chicken and hot links was very delicious, especially paired with the Hash brown casserole and house pickles. They brine the pickles with Jalapenos and vinegar and was savory with a hint of heat to it. My favourite addition was definitely the sauces they have to pair with the foods. You can tell they're house made and the flavour is astounding. Heat without flavour is meaningless. Definitely coming back here considering I work a block from here.
Best smoked ribs & beans in Denver, great to pop in and take it home. Reasonable prices. We don't eat in very often, the chairs are uncomfortable to sit in otherwise the atmosphere is good inside, it can get sketchy outside at times.
The place is pretty clean, stocked with utensils beverages and bbq sauce. The price is really good and the rib tips were probably our favorite.
My only suggestion is to somehow keep the food warmer. It’s pretty much room temperature and we would have liked a hotter meal.
When we walked in to the restaurant it smelled like urine… BAD. We went upstairs and it was much better, the bar tender was super nice and accommodating. When we ordered food they were out of wings, brisket, ribs and rib tips. We ordered from what they had left-over but were charged a-la-carte of the “substitute.”
