Best WLM Reviews
After we saw a video on YouTube about this restaurant we decided to fly from Austin Texas to NJ to try there for and yes it was worth it, the food, the staff, the service was amazing. Keep up the amazing work.
I visited Yasmeen Mediterranean Cuisine for the first time after reading reviews like this one.
For context, we were a party of two and we're looking for a laid back but semi-upscale restaurant to enjoy a dinner and hookah.
The service was impeccable, our server, a nice young man was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He came to our table several times to check on us which was just perfect.
As far at the food goes, we ordered several appetizers, and main courses for both of us. The food was served nice and hot. The portions were just right. However, some.of the dishes just felt a bit lacking in taste and bland. This is where I deducted on star.
The hookah we ordered was spot on, with zero complaints. The prices seemed just a tad bit above average for the area, but not a deal breaker for us.
Would I visit again? Probably yes, if I were nearby, but I wouldn't go out of my way. Overall, 4 solid stars.
The food is ok.
The mixed grill fell short of expectations; opting for the lamb alone would have been preferable. The beef lacked freshness, and the chicken was overcooked and dry.
Additionally, a heads-up about the $2.75 charge for regular water prior to seating would have been appreciated. As for the 20% gratuity automatically added, it's a point of contention.
But all for all, the deserts are good. You should try that.
I always see this place when we go to Jersey to storage. Finally dropped in for lunch. I really loved their eggplant salad. Lots of contrasting flavors and textures.
Roasted Eggplant salad with tomatoes, red onions, scallions, green and red peppers, cucumber pickles parsley, mint, walnuts. There may be some citric acid in it olive oil lemon juice.
They make an excellent falafel sandwich filling.
The hummus was good, but the meat on top was chewy.
The pita in the plastic bag that they served with good turnips pickles was too dry. Was it leftover from the day before? The stuffing on the grape leaves was too tough and bland.
Hits and misses.
The service was good.
Hands down the best Middle Eastern restaurant I’ve ever been to! The food was absolutely incredible. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. The grilled meats, hummus, and all the other dishes were top-tier. I couldn’t get enough!
The staff was amazing. They were super friendly and hospitable. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed.
The atmosphere is also fantastic! It’s the perfect mix of laid-back and cozy, which makes it a great spot to hang out, enjoy some food, and relax. If you’re into hookah, this place is a must-visit. They have a great selection of flavors, and it was smooth the whole time.
And the desserts were out of this world. The rice pudding was my personal favorite, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly recommend!
The waiter was great(owners son). Some of the best hummus i ever had. Has hookah if you’re into that. Plenty of parking. The dessert was not good at all that’s the only small complaint however I would come back for sure!
The shish tawook was excellent. Large quantity of chicken. Delicious, flavorful, and well cooked rice. Grilled vegetables were great but I wish they gave me a bigger tomato….that’s one of the best parts of shish tawook is eating it with a grilled tomato. We had the appetizer sampler: hummus, baba Ghanoush and muhammara. The hummus flavor tasted off, it needed something…maybe more tahini or cumin. It just didn’t taste like normal Lebanese hummus, it needed more flavor or something. The baba ghanoush was mediocre, i wasn’t disappointed nor was I impressed. Also, the size of the appetizer sampler was very very small and definitely not worth the $17 price. Overall, I didn’t like the appetizers but the entree was excellent, I was very happy with it. The restaurant is clean, well maintained, decorated very beautifully, and the service is welcoming, polite, and punctual. Would recommend this restaurant.
This place is BYOB (bring your own bottle). This wasn’t everything we had before the entree.
Overall the food was great. A blackout happened that night only for a small section in the area. All while the fire alarm wasn’t shutting off that the fire department had to shut it off.
The bill was discounted over the inconvenience. We didn’t get our dessert sadly over the timing of things, we will be back to try it.
