Best WLM Reviews
It was great haven't been there in yrs. Very clean, the gentleman behind bar greeted us said to order with him , they took care of me and my friend quickly, it was about 130 or 2 Not too many people, g
Food was good had rigatoni huge meatball came with it . Bread and salad also. The owner had some dean Martin playing , i wanted to dance with him get a little twirl for fun but didn't, parents loved that kind of music , he seemed surprised i knew it was Dean Martin ,???? overall I will go back again!!!!
Really delicious entrees, the staff was very kind & efficient. Fun atmosphere, too!!
This is a perfect no frills place to get a huge, gorgeous plate of food. I got the lasagna and I could have fed a family off of it, but I will just feed myself instead for the next day and half! Manfriend got the dago with a side of spaghetti, only reason I put 4 stars in he has had some stomach issues since, but "no regrets"? Calamari was honestly amazing - great surprise that we'll be back for!! Spumoni ice cream also SO GOOD!!!
Yarussos has been a family favorite sine age 12, I am now 58. Unfortunately my visit on Friday night was my last. The best part was always the outgoing and friendly wait staff. Now, no table service, no friendly hello as you enter the bar area, just a sign hanging overhead that reads "Order Here." Like so many other fast food businesses, customers now order in a line, a person drops water, utensils and bread at the table without a word, followed by a pasta drop off. Prices have gone up and customer service has gone WAY DOWN and that's unfortunate. Yarussos was always a diamond in the rough on the East side. Sad to see that go!
1st time experience was excellent. Service was great. I loved the atmosphere, especially the pictures of many people on the wall. I had the Pasta Supreme Signature Pasta. It was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. I will get a total of three meals out of this one lunch! I highly recommend Yarusso's.
Quaint, cozy, and steeped in history, Yarusso Bros is a local gem. With old roots deep in the community, it feels a bit like stepping into a different era when you walk through the doors. Historical photos and original paintings, warm lighting, and wooden decor give it an older, comforting feel: it was genuine & warm rather than modern & slick, if that makes sense. ???? Everything was clean; the staff was attentive and friendly; the food was very tasty and plentiful (the cheese pizza was massive & satisfying!). There are delicious vegetarian options, but I'm not sure if vegans will have luck here. The only prohibitive thing about Yarusso's is the abbreviated hours -- which I can't really fault them for, but I wanted to mention it. You can get a great meal here with a date or your family.
All things considered the rating should be around 3.7. The food is delicious and more importantly it's authentic Italian food that is not modified excessively to cater to an American taste (which is a positive). This has been a restaurant starting 1933 so it has a history and culture behind it. The staff are very friendly and you can get good suggestions from them. It was clean, the food was served in roughly 15 minutes after we ordered (not a long wait). Overall I liked the experience and the food. Some of our friends felt the food was not unique in terms of taste and a little on the pricey side which is why I say 3.7 not 4.
My first time in and as much as I hate to do this it's my last time as well. First my 2 Cokes I ordered were bad/flat no syrup and at the crazy price for pop now that should never happen. Service was abysmal and pretty much a grueling miserable experiance, no excuse there and it was a seemingly slow evening. Dirty tables everywhere. The red pasta sauce tasted like tomato sauce,,,, that's it. The meatballs were decent that's why I'm giving the 2 stars. I wish you folks well it looks like you have been around a while I'd hate to see another place go out. A sad excuse for over a $100 meal, truly.
