Best WLM Reviews
Okay, the atmosphere is very good vibes. Super pretty and big and when packed the atmosphere is probably off the charts! Not busy at all tonight but that's okay. They had happy hour till 6p which is cool and drinks are delicious. Got the chicken sliders and tasty 7/10. Drinks 8/10. Food i got wings, salad and Brussel sprouts. Wings 4/10 salad 8/10 sprouts 9/10. Uncle got shrimp and grits he said 8/10. Now our server chase um not super friendly. But the boys who brought our food 2 different ones were super kind but chase I wouldn't want him again as server. Overall restaurant has great potential and would give it C+
World famous fried chicken, for a reason! So glad Yardbird has opened in Denver. Safe for Celiac too. Salads are fresh and flavorful, sides are memorable and consistently delicious. Burger is the only reason I'll eat American cheese. And the chicken and waffles - GF or glutenous - perfection in every bite!
Staff is super friendly, atmosphere is amazing but the food is not good at all. Fried chicken is a joke, burger was tolerable but salty. We were so ready to love this place and 3 stars is hoenstly for the vibe. Food gets zero
I ate here for the first time last week and it was overall good. The place is quiet and has a nice ambience. Service is nice. I rated each item I ate with more detailed specifics below:
????Chicken (whole bird) 12/10 perfectly done, probably one of the best I’ve had ever
????Mac n cheese 6/10 (eh, it was decent and I probably could’ve gone without. Maybe change the cheese and it’ll go up in score)
????Waffle 7.5/10 (unique, but solid. Wish they also just offered a plain waffle, the flavor may not be for everyone.
????Watermelon 1/10 (just keep the fruit as is, my watermelon was soggy and overall not good and it felt like the seasoning was there to hide the fact that it either wasn’t fresh, high quality, prepped correctly)
????BLT Stack 9/10 (Could have a little less pimiento cheese but good)
???? Honey hot sauce is toooooo die for (9/10)
????Bourbon maple syrup is a womp— good with the waffle but be modest with pouring it (5/10)
Don’t get:
???????? The lobster mac seemed good, but not for $79 and purely an aesthetic vibe. If it was a larger portion and less exoskeleton, then maybe I’d endorse it.
???? Deviled eggs— to only get 2 deviled eggs (1 whole egg) for $10 is nuts to me. I’m sorry, but there’s no practicality in that, especially when I can make 6x that amount for about the same price. I get it’s unique, but not enough for me to endorse it.????
Based on my ratings, the technical score would be 3.6 ⭐️
I would definitely go back for the chicken, fried green tomatoes and maybe try another side.
Great food & atmosphere! We went for brunch on a Saturday (reservation recommended), and Yard Bird did not disappoint! I've never had avocado toast like this. Taste was phenomenal ???? and beautiful presentation. A bit pricey but I would go again.
This is a really nice looking spot in RiNo, but it is gigantic. Thus, it doesn’t feel busy and can actually feel a bit empty. The service seemed very slow. Everyone was pleasant and helpful, but our first drink order took nearly 25 min and there were only a few tables being served. Good food, but not amazing. It is quite expensive, but the portions seem appropriate for the cost. The deviled eggs were very dill-forward, which I loved, but this us not for everyone. The spicy chicken bite appetizer was excellent and had a wonderful amount of spice. The fried chicken was tasty, but a bit on the sweet side. The lobster Mac and cheese looked amazing, but was not as flavorful as I would have expected. My favorite item was the broccolini, which was perfectly cooked and a nice diversion from an otherwise unhealthy choice of dishes at our table. They also brought us the most enormous piece of cake that I have ever seen as a birthday treat. Overall, good. But it is expensive for the types of dishes and slow (but friendly) in terms of service.
I am a Wedding Planner and recently hosted a networking event at Yardbird. It was perfect! The venue is amazing in that it has 5 different areas to have events (which is perfect for rehearsal dinners, welcome receptions, parties, and social events). The food and beverage is so good, plus the hospitality and service is top notch. Highly recommend this for an event or just a night out!
The cocktails are fantastic. We got the blackberry bourbon lemonade and the Classic old fashioned and both had nice complexity. The old fashioned had a smoked bacon fat wash that apparently gave it a really nice smokiness. The bartender was super friendly.
I know it’s not their thing but I wish they had a vegan option so I could bring people here for dinner. The omnivore options sound so delicious, and I’d gladly bring friends and family if I myself could have a seitan wing or a hunk of fried tofu with them.
