We had mold in the bathroom of our room. The bathroom door was warped and could not be shut completely. There was no fire extinguisher in the room. No one came to see if we needed other towels, toilet paper, or to take out the trash. I have no clue what time the service desk opens. I went to talk to them multiple times from 8 am till 10:30 am. A gentleman leaned out the door to ask what I needed. I told him, and nothing was done about it. The young man working at night is very helpful. Motel was noisy the first 2 nights we were there. The microwave in our room was rusty inside, and paint was peeling off the inside. Our first and last time there.
Overall, the hotel needs some TLC but it was very reasonable in price. Rob was the best. Very attentive to all the guests. All rooms filled by Springfield/Hillside Elks for convention. Everyone had a great time! Thanks Rob for a memorable time
Giving my childhood stay 5/5 just based off great memories! And when I got older it became a place I’d go once a year with my fiancé now wife! My only concern was the last time we visited in 2019 no Marina or her family incharge? Not sure what happened to her or them? The new owners it seemed…were a little sketchy when asked about it. If anyone has any answers to what happened to my families friend and know if she’s doing okay? I’d greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
First time here, very impressed with the staff. Rob made our stay stress free. His attention to detail and his willingness to be there for all of the guests really impressed us. Looking forward to coming back this summer.
Stayed 1 night and it was great. They are in the process of updating the rooms so expect a mix of older and newer features. The tub was a slow drain and like other reviews, the AC unit is in the back half of the room. So I would imagine it would be hot in the middle of summer. A small fan to blow the air into the living room works easily and sand in the drain seems to plague older beach hotels in Wildwood. Slow draining tubs are not new and it's definitely not the last time it's going to happen at the beach. Overall, the outdoor games, location, and price are perfect for somewhere to lay your head. I'm happy the new owners are making the upgrades and will definitely come back again.
The Yankee Clipper is a motel that is very minimum, but has the right idea. Rooms where small and not very minimal as far as seating and relaxing. Being you're on vacation, you want to be out and enjoying outside instead of being inside. Beds where comfortable, room were very clean as well. Staff is excellent and welcome you with open arms. My only major gripe was the ice machine wasn't very hygiene conscious. The scooper is inside the ice which nobody knows how many hands have touched it along with the ice. I'm sure they will fix this, but don't let that deter you. You'll enjoy yourself if you stay here.
We had such a nice stay at The Yankee Clipper. The people working here were so friendly and helpful. The rooms, pool, mini golf and hang out areas were well maintained and beautifully set up. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. If we ever needed anything there was always someone around to help us out. I plan on coming back next year
We just stayed at this hotel and was very disappointed with the lack of service and the cleanliness of this hotel. There was no maid service or housekeeping to speak of we went down to the office to ask for towels, and they just said oh, the maid is new. Had to empy our own trash.There was chicken, bones and half eaten food on the steps. We smelled marijuana every day that we were there. Service of the hotel Needs something to be desired..... If your thinking of staying at this resort. Really reconsider
