Best WLM Reviews
Does not live up to its hype. Yank Sing in San Francisco falls short of its reputation. I went in expecting top-tier dim sum but found it underwhelming, especially compared to my local Dallas spot, which is both tastier and more affordable. The food was a big disappointment, lacking the vibrant flavors and freshness I anticipated—I'd rate it a 2 out of 5. The restaurant itself is well-maintained and has a pleasant design, so I’ll give the atmosphere a 4 out of 5. Service was solid and deserves a 4 as well, but several menu items were unavailable, adding to the letdown. Overall, while the ambiance and service were decent, the food and limited menu options didn’t live up to the hype, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to return."
The best dim sum I've ever had! So delicious and fresh. Authentic experience with push carts and very attentive staff. If you don't see what you want, just ask! The place is a little tricky to find, inside a like mall, but worth finding!!
Excellent dim sum spot with long hours in SF within the financial district. Great place for a party of 4-6 people to have traditional dim sum. Ordering was completed half-and-half with the host and the carts around the interior of the restaurant. You can even eat there solo and they will accommodate you! Slightly expensive for the quantity of food but when shared with friends, it was very reasonable. No gluten free options to my knowledge.
I have been to Yang Sing at this location since the early 2000s. Being a vegetarian, I found enough options to eat and I love the whole push cart experience. When I went there a few months ago, there were no push carts and I was disappointed. However, it was back this time.
We ordered all the vegetable dimsum and we liked them all. The savory vegetable was our favorite. The sesame balls are always the best way to finish the meal. Their fresh brewed tea at the table in a beautiful teapot (herbal tea) is another thing we all had and loved
The push cart experience was awesome. Really enjoyed the food. Glad they have a lot of options for vegan/vegetarian diets. The mango pudding dessert was great too. Service felt very rushed. In the first 10 min we had the cart stop by at least 4 times. Pacing it out would be nice.
10/10 AMAZING TOTALLY VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY
This place was so good, I got my first order of the mushroom dumplings and thought wow these are the best dumplings I’ve ever had in my life until I had their savory dumplings which are just as good or better! I also had the fried tofu which was addicting. I have to go back soon
The food was yummy. The staff are attentive and helpful. Highly recommend and would definitely come back.
Came to check out the dim sum as per the Michelin Bib Gourmand recommendation. The restaurant is surprisingly small, but very upscale. Very attentive service. If the carts don't have what you are looking for, the staff will get it right away. However, as a lover of dim sum, I have to say there are better options for value. Everything is top notch for a upscale dim sum experience though. There is a house special fried fish with mayo and basil? That was very very good!
