Best WLM Reviews
Two of us ordered 9 dishes as we were a little excited. A little too much than our stomach can take. All dishes are great and better than most dim sum places in the south bay. Among the 9 dishes, we like dumplings, sesame balls, and bean curd roll a lot. Sesame balls are a little expensive at $15, but they are the best I have had so far (I like dessert a lot). The place is comfy, the dim sum carts are all around you. The jasmine tea uses true high quality tea leaves that is one of the best in Chinese restaurants I have been to. This place has been on the Michelin list twice (2016 and 2021). They deserve it.
This restaurant is the classic SF greed, food is slightly better than average, not remotely in the class of Canada or Hong Kong. Portions are small and the prices are high. Service was acceptable.
But for how much they charge they still added a “Employee health plan surcharge (5%) to our bill, their greed for profit seems endless. Am so tired of California overpaying.
I’m sure the dim sum experience is good but only have had the opportunity to get take out when in the area. Their Phoenix lunch combo is usually pretty good, but last time it seemed uninspired. Maybe it was the way the contents were tossed into the container? Fried rice and chow mein noodles were a little dry. In my opinion it should be dripping with oil! Overall good place to get food.
This is a very popular dimsum place. Two locations, and it have been to both. This rev is specifically dor the spear street location.
We can on a very busy weekend where there was a food fair. Yang sing was also busy but since we visited round 2pm there wasn't any wait. Ordering on your mobile phone is convenient. You can keep the tab open till you check out. That can also be done with the app.
They are one of the very few dimsum restaurants that kept the traditional diumsun cart. You can simply order frome the cart, staff will add the order to your open tab on the app.
For years this place remain as one of my favorites.
Their sesame ball is by far the best I'd every had.
Fresh hot foods prepared from fresh ingredients. Everyone was very kind, polite, professional and helpful. Manager check on us to be sure we were well care for. Best Chinese food served in the cleanest restaurant in San Francisco. Highly recommend for any special occasion.
Dim sum carts roll by constantly. The food is hot off of the carts. Some nice dishes that we tried. The service is prompt. Checkout is table side and like everything else in SF, electronic. Interesting that any of the servers or bus persons can check you out.
Yank Sink offers a nice variety of dim sum, both steamed and fried, that's sure to please dim sum enthusiasts. Conveniently located inside the mall, its dining area extends into the mall itself, creating a casual and relaxed atmosphere.
The service at Yank Sink is efficient, with dim sum carts making rounds for patrons to choose from. Additionally, they offer the option to order some items via QR code, adding a modern touch to the dining experience.
One of the best parts about Yank Sink is its reasonable prices. For just $70, two people can enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
In summary, Yank Sink is a solid choice for dim sum lovers looking for a tasty and affordable dining experience in a relaxed setting.
My husband and I made a last minute reservation for brunch and they were able to seat us. As soon as we sat down, the ladies with the carts came by immediately and we chose what we wanted. We’ve never had our food served in less than 60 seconds until we found this place. We also tried the Egg Custard Tart (but forgot to take a picture because it was so damn good) and it was delicious. Not too sweet, and the tart pastry was perfect. This is such an underrated restaurant and I must say this is my new favorite Dim Sum spot.
