Best WLM Reviews
Some of the best delivery Chinese I’ve ever had- not too greasy or salty. The spicy is not spicy… and I’m not very spice-tolerant. The chicken lo-mein is delicious and very generous portions. The crab rangoons were some of the best I’ve had.
I've ordered here a few times. Everything that I've order was supposed to be hot/spicy and it's not even a bit zesty. LOL very good though. Just NOTHING is spicy/hot like it's supposed to be
The food was quite different than I ever had before. The spicy scallops and shrimp were not very spicy. The service was superb, though!
Horrible, dreadful hot and sour soup. Other soup awful as well. Entrees ok, kung pao chicken lacking any spice, but the soup is an absolute joke.
First and last time we are going to this restaurant. On Tuesday, August 27th, between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm, my husband and I went there for the first time. First of all, the man at the cash register who was also taking the orders, needs to be trained in customer service, as he didn't even greet us or welcome us. He kept looking at the floor the whole time, avoiding eye contact, and without a smile, he was grumpy and nasty as if he didn't want to serve us. He reluctantly took our takeout order, which took about 25 minutes. When we got home and opened the two meals, they smelled sour, and the shrimp were old and tasted like soap. Horrible!!! Trying to save a little ended up costing us more, but losing to learn is not really a loss.
I never really know what to expect when I order the homestyle bean curd option, except a pretty basic brown or garlic sauce with tofu and vegetables sauteed, but I was absolutely blown away with the flavors in this dish, all of the ingredients were thoughtfully prepared. My order also arrived very quickly.
The food is always delicious, but this was the first time I actually ate inside the restaurant for lunch on a weekend. I ordered a coke with little ice and received this half-filled glass with flat coke about 20 minutes after ordering (and after being reminded about your forgotten drinks. We received our appetizer and food before out drinks, including water). When the coke arrived, there was no carbonation. The food was great, but the service was okay even though it wasn't busy at all. However, the waitress was nice and pleasant. She replaced my coke with a can of coke instead because she said it was "better." The lunch deals are always a great bargain, but I guess the drink, not so much.
Easily the best Chinese food I've had in over a year. Got some orange chicken and wonton soup. Divine.
(Edit): got it again and the food was equally amazing which doesn't happen often imo.
(Edit 2 re: COVID): THANK YOU for not having Dine-in and taking excellent measures for safety. It doesn't feel risky picking up food, especially compared to so many other places.
(Edit 3 5/31/21): THEY DON'T MISS. Also again thank you for maintaining distancing, takeout, and actually appropriate safety measures.
(Edit 4 5/2/2022): I swear they didn't used to have orange beef on the menu before. I remember I asked for it once a while ago in the comments when ordering through the site and they called me to make sure they understood what I said lol. To whoever added it to the menu: I Love You. That's why you go to the local spot!!!!!
(Edit 5 4/10/2024) I almost had a heart attack before I realize you just changed the name... Still the best Chinese food in Richmond ????????????????
