Best WLM Reviews
My family and I stopped in for lunch last week and were very impressed. Great service! The place is also beautifully decorated. But most importantly, the food is amazing! We tried a wide variety of rolls, appetizers and sushi. Everything was fresh and delicious. My son keeps asking when we can go back. If you want the best sushi in Omaha, I highly recommend Yamato.
Chicken pad tai is my favorite. I asked to make it spicy and they put the right amount of spice. My server was very nice, knowledgeable and welcoming. I would definitely come back !!
I've seen sushi trains places online and always wanted to try it. I am so glad that we have one in Omaha. It's quick, it's fast and delicious. The service is amazing and the servers are very nice. I was a little worried about sitting at the end of the train line, but there is so much food. It's enough for everyone. If you can, order a specialty roll that comes out on the top train. It's entertaining and fun way to get your food.
Tonight?, I ate from the train. My server was personable and friendly. She read my mind when I wanted to order something special, needed a drink and a fork for dessert. The food was fresh and tasty. Good variety. I arrived early and had no wait. Worth the price to sample many dishes.
My daughter and I happened to find this place on a recent trip. We absolutely loved it! The sushi was so fresh! The small sampler plates are you a great way to be try new things without having to order a whole order.
I loved the nigiri and sashimi, my daughter loved the rolls!
They keep track via colored coded plates. We didn't spend any more than we would have off a regular sushi menu.
We loved it so much, we went back the next night for dinner again!
I ordered more food after my first plate, and it took them 20 minutes for the waitress to check on us after I expressed my frustration. She wouldn't have checked on our table if I hadn't said anything. She tried to defend herself by showing a photo that she submitted it, but that doesn't change the fact that it took them 20 minutes. She was more invested with her conversation with her coworker than checking on us. After that, the cooks FINALLY started my order, and I've decided to cancel the order. Poor service. I think her name was Yari.
There are a growing number of places to get sushi in Omaha, and initially I thought the train was just a gimmick to compensate for lower quality sushi, but I was wrong! The food was really, really good...very fresh tasting. The wait staff was helpful and exained the ordering process to me (the newbie). The train works similarly to dim sum where the kitchen puts a variety of options on small plates which are color coded by price. You take what you want, and they up the plates at the end. My daughter and I thought it was great!
Labor Day luncheon. We both got the Bento Box option and it is an amazing value for the account of food you get! We had to being home some of our leftovers.
Got some small plates from the conveyor belt- one of which was a bowl of grapes, muskmelon, and cherry tomatoes- I wish more places offered a shareable bowl of this sort of thing as an appetizer!
The food seemed good for the price (but I am not necessarily the best judge.) Staff and service was great. The order tablets were maybe a little clunky (and I would have liked some easy easy to know what some of the terms mean).
Overall- on my list as a place to go back to for an interesting experience.
