Food was very flavorful! The texture was perfect, everything had some bite to it without being undercooked. The meat is always delicious! The only knock I have is it was a bit salty. I had the yakisoba many times and tried all the different meats. Staff is quick and attentive, my water glass was never empty, and the tables were always clean.
The food was amazing and so freshly made. By far, the best oriental food in the area.
I wish they would modernize the place a bit and make it look more appealing. Employees should be more presentable and better dressed when waiting tables.

I am not one to leave negative reviews but his has always been my favorite restaurant in Somerset and I want to encourage them to do better. The food used to be so good! However, the restaurant and staff do not match the quality of food. The establishment is filthy. You can tell the bathroom is never cleaned, tables and floors are very dirty, when you look in the kitchen you can clearly see they do not clean it. The workers do not present themselves in a professional manner at all. One time while there with my teenage daughter, we witnessed the waitresses having a physical altercation right outside the doors. The service is terrible. I still continued to eat there because it really was my favorite food in Somerset. I went the other day and the food was terrible. The lobster Rangoon were empty and nothing but air, my poke bowl was made completely wrong and the chicken tasted off. I'm really sad to see this place go downhill. I'm only writing this review in hopes that the owner will make changes. I would love to see this place cleaned up so I can return as a customer. As of now I will not be back as I fear of getting sick from the lack of cleanliness.
Ok… I figured it’s about time to write a review about Yamato in Somerset Ky. We’ve been there several times now, but today will be the last. Don’t get me wrong… the food is delicious. No problem there. But the restaurant is filthy and disgusting. There was nobody dining at the time we walked in. But several tables still had dirty plates, there was debris on the floor, and the soy sauce and the drink flip cards on the table were sticky and gummy, disgusting to touch. When we arrived, the waitress and and the manager were both sitting, and on their phones. Not bothering to clean. Awhile after our food was served, the waitress cleared off the table next to us, but did not bother to wipe it down. The appearance of the waitress was not professional at all. No particular dress code, and the filth under her fingernails was repulsive. But once again, to be fair… the food is very good. So, basically, if you don’t mind the filth, you definitely won’t be disappointed!
I personally didn’t enjoy it they brought us out the wrong appetizer and didn’t care when I told them it was wrong.. the tables was very sticky and dirty you could scrape the nasty off!! The food was not that good.. the rice had no flavor very plain. It definitely was not worth $50
My husband and I went here for our anniversary last week. We were happily surprised at the quality, portion sizes, and flavors! We are vegetarian, so we had the Hibatchi vegetables, and the Soba noodles with veggies. We also tried their miso soup, the Jade roll, and the sweet potato roll. Everything was excellent and they were very accommodating with my food preferences! We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!
The workers there got in a literal fist fight outside of the restaurant. They came inside afterward, making a huge scene while I had my two small children with me. Me and my family left after only eating our appetizer. Extremely unprofessional.
I'm not a fan of how things are changing. My favorite server has been fired, immediately replaced, of course. I fear others will follow. The atmosphere has shifted and it's not comfortable here anymore. Sure we'll be coming for the food still, but it won't be so happy as before. I'm really disappointed in how things are shifting.
