We were skeptical at first because most of the reviews we read were very negative...but they were 100% WRONG! This was WITHOUT A DOUBT the ABSOLUTE BEST Hibachi dinner we have EVER experienced!!! Yes business is slow and it looked like they were closed from the outside, but once we got inside, we experienced IMMEDIATE service from a very cordial waitress. Drinks in hand within 5 minutes. Food being prepared within 10 minutes! The chef was very nice and skilled in the traditional hibachi style of cooking, including the traditional "egg rolls", "shrimp flips" and "volcano". Hottest sake I've ever tasted. The portions were the LARGEST we've ever received. We left with 3 boxes of take home goodness!!! Give Yamato a try if you are looking for a high quality, delicious and generally affordable hibachi experience!
I never write reviews but this place was so bad that I feel I need to write a public service announcement. Stay away! There is not one redeemable quality about this place. Staff are snotty, my filet was gray, and the shrimp was undercooked and cold. Every surface in the restaurant is coated with a thick layer of grease. This is not an exaggeration. Keep driving.
I’ve always head a great experience here! I’ve been going here for the past 10 years or so and never had a problem. Not sure where these other reviews are about, talking about sticky floors and the airflow. The food is always great & servers.
Sticky floor, poor air flow, server needs training. waited a while for chef to cook at our table. Needs varieties of vegetables. The place needs an update.
I’m not sure who would like to eat their salad with Yum Yum sauce; now don’t get me wrong I LOVE me some yumyum sauce but not with a salad. Probably the worst steak I have ever had from here there was more fat than steak. They didn’t give the garlic sauce to go with our food, may have helped the taste of the steak. The soup was lukewarm. I haven’t ever had this bad of an experience at Yamato. We actually come here quite often. I totally get when someone isn’t sitting in front of you it’s easy to just throw whatever together but when you expect a certain quality of food from a restaurant that you like to eat at this is very off putting. Honestly I don’t even do the whole leave a review thing but I couldn’t just let this one go!!
Honestly I loved it. Our cooks name was vod or something… he was hilarious and cooked amazingly. It’s slightly expensive because it’s hibachi, but it was definitely worth it. Our portion sizes were MASSIVE as well.
DISGUSTING!!!! Came in Friday at 9pm there was only 1 table there. It was unbelievably dark. I touch the top of the booth to sit down and thr THICK STICKYNESS almost made me throw up. I immediately went to the bathroom to wash my hands, which wasn't much better.
I ordered 3 rolls. I could not even see the amount of salmon in my sushi. IT WAS ALLLLL RICE.
The food was delicious and we were very pleased with the service! Our waiter/chef was interactive and made the entire experience very enjoyable! I highly suggest this place if you're in the mood for hibachi!!
