The service was friendly, fast and and overall, pleasant experience. Most meals come with soup and salad, which the ginger dressing is amazing!
After asking the waitress her favorite on the menu, I decided to order the bento box meal that includes chef's choice sushi. Each one tasted fresh and was my favorite part of the meal! Unfortunately, the rice was very dry so I did not eat that.
There was several to-go orders while we ate in. I would recommend ordering the sushi, as that seems to be what they specialize in and was the best part of the meal.
Yamato usually gets very busy, especially during mealtime. The order taker usually is on 2 phones while taking walk-in customer service. Highly recommend as the food is worth the wait!!! Just make sure you set aside 30 mins extra for food readiness.
The salad consisted of all lettuce white end pieces and light yellow leaf. The yakiniku beef slices were tough and unsavory. The white rice was compacted and tough chewing. The miso soup was not as bad as the rest of the meal.
The format is Japanese but it’s Chinese owned and staffed. Japanese people are much more careful about the food they serve. Not recommended!
Love the bamboo entrance. I personally am not a seafood fan and certainly not a sushi fan..if you like both of those things, you will without a doubt love this place. I'm a picky eater and didn't really know what to expect but they had hibachi chicken so it all worked out and was really good. Excellent service too ????????
I've only visited once. My meal was pretty average (3 stars). Service is very good (4 stars). Atmosphere was pleasant (4 stars). Overall rating, I'd give it 3.5 stars. Therefore, I rounded up to 4 stars overall.
Best bang for your buck on Sushi and the Miso soup is Amazing! My other favorites are the dumplings and the crabrangoon!!! We've had Great service, good service and poor service. Depends on who is working, the young waitresses are awful. But it's definitely worth it for the food!
Very good food Fantasic even. The steak was so tender. Our waitress was Madison and she did an excellent job. We got two steak dinners veggies rice and soups all for under 35.00. They are busy but still fast.
Called in a take out order of onion soup and crab Rangoon, my daughter got there over 30 min later and it wasn’t ready. Finally got it and the soup is half empty and taste terrible, the crab Rangoon barley had anything in it, not just meat, hardly anything at all. We used to love this place and tell everyone to try it but we definitely won’t be returning or recommending it to anyone anymore.
