Super generous servings of delicious goodness. The sushi starts to set you back a bit more, but I feel like everything else gives you a huge bang for your buck. You will not leave here hungry. The staff were really great, just super kind and helpful. Can’t recommend Yamato enough!
WHAT A MEAL!! Tons of sushi options with very generous portion sizes and good presentation. Great flavors and creative rolls. We got 3 rolls in addition to the ones pictured here and they were all delicious and seemed to use very high quality ingredients. Also got the miso soup and seaweed salad which I can recommend. I do wish they had fresh spring rolls instead of just fried options. But not a dealbreaker.
Love eating here. Amazing sushi each time, delicious deep fried rolls that are also massive and stuffed. The udon ramen is also massive too, definitely share it with someone!
An excellent dining experience for an excellent price. The tonkotsu ramen I got had a phenominal balance of flavors and the broth was the star. The pork slices were too thick. Their dry, tough texture detracted from the dish, but it was still good overall. The environment in restaurant was simple, but not plain. It made for a pleasant dining experience.
Wow, this is a restaurant to experience amazing delicious cuisines and an excellent source of service along with it. My wife and I tried a few sushi rolls (Texas Roll and Sweet Devil) ????. We also had two dishes. Beef teriyaki and Kastu Curry ???? both extremely delicious and with generous portions sized plates. We ate til we were full and took some leftovers home.
Looking forward to eating here again and recommend to anyone else who is looking for a great place to eat.
This is an excellent Japanese restaurant. We had dinner which was excellent. The service was fast and polite. It was very clean inside and the presentation of the food was great along with the flavor. We will definitely go back if in Utah.
Truly one of my favorites! If you’re craving Asian food, hot or cold, this is the place to go! Yamato has been a staple go-to for years for me, and I have loved everything I’ve tried. The sushi is fantastic—it’s definitely high quality in terms of the freshness, taste, and presentation. The other Japanese food items are great as well, and come in incredible portions such as the Tempura Udon which is one of the favorites! You can also get good Korean dishes as well, and I order the Osam Bulgogi every time I go because it’s THAT good. Also, they have some banging appetizers—I recommend you try the croquettes—you will not regret ordering them! And the owners and staff are always so friendly and helpful!
Yamato might look small or underwhelming from the outside but you go inside and you're impressed with how great the decor and atmosphere is, as well as the size inside. I love their menu, it's just the same like five or ten dishes you always see at these places. I legit had a hard time deciding what I wanted because the options were all so good! Bottom line, food is delicious, I just had a hard time getting a waiter over whenever we needed something but when they did come they were very polite!
