This place is a must visit in the area. As soon as I arrived I was seated right away. After ordering my drink I went to the rest room and the restroom was spotless. I then ordered the jalapeño poppers as an appetizer and the steak and lobster hibachi along with ginger saladand miso soup. My appetizer came out about 5 minutes later and the food came out quickly after and everything was absolutely delicious. Service was attentive and very friendly I had zero complaints about my visit.
Made the mistake of ordering a sushi roll instead of doing the hibachi meal course. Sushi roll wasn’t nearly as good as what my friends ordered. Our chef was very funny and did an excellent job making our food. The Flaming Tiger roll left much to be desired.
Happened upon this place for lunch and was really Wow'ed by the look and feel of the place along with the service and taste of the food. The lunch pricing is very affordable and worth every morsel. I had the shrimp and salmon hibachi -The Rice is their secret weapon cause I surrendered and ate beyond what I should have. I also let them know about my allergies beforehand and they did a Marvelous job at accommodating me. Must visit if you are ever in Victoria, TX. Can y'all bring one to S.A.?
Had lunch with friends and it was delicious. Tried apple saki for the first time and it was very good.
This is my wife’s favorite place to eat. They always joke with us and say that we were there yesterday. We enjoy Donnie and TJ. They always make us laugh and have a good time. I would recommend this place to anyone. Food is a little pricey to some, but worth it. They sometimes give you enough to share.
Went there a couple of days ago with my coworkers at night. it was my third time there. I had really good service and the food was really good too. but, it was really messed up this time. nobody came to our table after we had been seated for 15 mins. I would understand why, if was busy during rush hours. But the time we were there was definitely not busy. We didn't get our soups and salads but it was ok. it's really nothing to complain about. That is, until another waitress came to our table and asked us how everything was. I told her what I thought and she didn't seem to be concerned. Even after I told her it was my third time there. she said THEY VE ONLY BEEN OPEN FOR 6 DAYS. I don't really know why she doubter it. I'll still recommend this place to ppl but that waitress was really rude.
Have been visiting Yamato since they opened several years ago, I wouldn’t consider us regulars but did make several visits a year. The food has always been good, service started good but has recently been less than I would expect. Our most recent visit on a Sunday evening when the restaurant wasn’t very busy, we seemed to be invisible. Walking in, there was one couple being seated and no one else in the waiting area. There was someone at the front desk, I assume was the hostess, and several waitresses walking up to the desk as we waited. After 3-4 minutes we are still standing there without being acknowledged at all, not even a look. I can understand that you may be busy at the moment and would be glad to wait if you would just acknowledge that I am there. Last visit for us, went to another local Japanese restaurant where we are always appreciated.
One of the nicest places I have found shrimp tempura. And what a large portion size.
