This place doesn’t even need 1 star. Shouldn’t have even ordered after walking in the place with how nasty it was. Then after I was eating my lunch I thought I noticed a bug in my food. And after digging it out it definitely was. I was then sick at that point and took my plate directly to the counter and the lady just turns around and looks at the cook. Like this has happened plenty of times and says sorry. They did refund my money after I requested a refund but at that point that’s not enough. And just want to add. The food that I had eaten before I found this bug was not good at all. It had no taste and was definitely the worst Japanese restaurant I had ever tried. My employee that was eating lunch with me felt the same way and he also threw his entire plate away after seeing the bug.
I think the other comments say it well. I will add that the servers are extremely rude. The shrimp sauce is watered down to the point of no flavor. The food is often hard and cold with little or no flavor. I tried to order ahead and in the 15 minutes it took me to get there they threw away my plate and tried to charge me for it when I reordered. Also, they charge a blanket 3.95% customer fee on all purchases card or cash now. It has become too expensive that an order of egg rolls, a drink, and hibachi steak cost almost $30!
What happened here? I haven't been in years now I remember why. The food was absolutely garbage! I threw most of my food away because it taste horrible. You can't trick people with food that's not fresh and springs rolls cooked in old grease. Has no taste.
Food was amazing. I just ate here (2/14/24) 6 pm and my plate was so good I had to order another one for later lol the picture is of my second plate. 6:08pm I ordered Hibachi Chicken no soy sauce (both times)and they had it ready within minutes even on Valentines Day! It’s just like when I use to come here over a decade ago when I was younger. This place is one of the places that makes me happy to be back in North Carolina. Thank you Yamato Express of Kings Mountain. Y’all made my day.
They made the food without mushrooms (I’m severely allergic) and were able to work around my allergy. Food was reasonably priced with exceptional portions. The great thing is the food doesn’t taste… greasy? Heavy? Artificial? Not like other places you go to. It’s genuinely delicious. I can’t wait to go back.
I love a good vegetable plate. My carrots were a lil burnt but it was ok. I still loved my food. The ppl in there were very friendly
I heard good things about this place so i decided to try. Americanized Thai/Chinese food. I ordered a chicken hibachi plate with carrots. The carrots were sweet and tasted like they came out of a can and the chicken was rubbery. The rice wasn’t even fried it was still mostly white. I also found a hair in my rice and i decided to throw it away. I paid like 12$ and I would rather go to Rice Authentic on the other side of town
It was really nice inside and clean and the bathroom was clean and they served our food pretty quick ????
