Best WLM Reviews

one of the absolute most beautiful places to dine in Los Angeles with the highest quality fish you will ever eat. I recommend going after sunset, as you really get to enjoy the view of the city while you eat! I brought my mother here for her birthday and they were so good at making it a special experience for her. This is a mandatory experience every LA visit.
The views from Yamashiro are epic!!! Such a beautiful restaurant. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. Everything I ordered was so mouthwatering and flavorful, from the appetizers to the main course. I had the Braised Lamb Shanks and it was the most delicious lamb I've ever had. Highly recommend Yamashiro to anyone wanting to experience the finest dining experience, it was definitely worth it. Can't wait to come back!
We happened to celebrate our anniversary there during the weekend of all the LA games and events, so traffic trekking up there was rough. However, once we were on the restaurant grounds we were met with great hospitality! Our hostess let us know the process and congratulated us on the celebration. We walked around the grounds before being seated. Once seated, our server Diego took amazing care of us and gave us recommendations to which we happily agreed with. Our favorite dish was the sea bass, and all the food and drinks were delicious. Unfortunately we didn’t get a surprise anniversary treat, but nevertheless the experience was worth the trek and we would do it again!
An amazing as well as a very beautiful place to visit as there is so much to see with the incredible views all around. Then when you think it can't get any better you order a beverage and delicious food from the menu which is brought to you by very knowledgeable staff members. All in all the experience will leave you wanting to go back sooner than later.
Yamashiro: A Night of Stunning Views and Mixed Emotions
Yamashiro, nestled in the Hollywood Hills, promised a night of elegance and unforgettable views. Unfortunately, our experience began on a sour note. Despite having a reservation, we were forced to wait for an hour, a frustrating start to what should have been a special evening. The staff apologized, explaining that our reservation had been accidentally deleted, but this did little to ease our disappointment.
Once seated, however, our experience took a positive turn. Our waiter, Zach, was exceptional. His friendly demeanor and attentive service made us feel welcome and valued. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations.
While the food was enjoyable, it didn't quite live up to the high expectations set by the restaurant's reputation and price point. However, the drinks were truly outstanding, expertly crafted and beautifully presented.
The real star of the show was Yamashiro's atmosphere and location. The stunning views of the city lights are breathtaking, and the historic setting adds a touch of magic. It's a truly unique dining experience that is hard to replicate.
Overall, Yamashiro is a beautiful and memorable venue. While we were disappointed by the initial reservation mix-up and felt that the food could have been better for the price, the stunning views, exceptional service from Zach, and the delicious drinks made it a worthwhile experience.
This is one of the most iconic Hollywood restaurants remaining and is an absolutely a must try!
Experience gorgeous views, amazing food, exceptional services, and an unforgettable ambiance. A place, perfect to celebrate an anniversary, a date night, a birthday, or simply having a wonderful time. In our case, we celebrated our 10 year anniversary there, and we were surprised with a lovely treat at the end to celebrate the festivity :)
I highly recommend this place and also advise to ensure to place a reservation ahead of time. Don't miss this iconic place while being in Hollywood.
Beautiful views, but the food isn't worth the price lobster over cooked pasta tasted like BBQ sauce. The only thing that was good was desert , drinks, and the seaweed salad. For ambiance, I would just do apps and drinks. Our drinks took over an hour to come out i understand it was the weekend but still felt pretty long. The bathroom was not kept, all stalls didn't have toilet paper for the amount you spend it was pretty messy to be fair. Beautiful place I will give it that where kill bill was shot cool place to see, but I wouldn't say great place to eat. They forgot our friends drinks , order and it had been hours the waiter was nice and I'll give it that he was busy and don't blame him for the food.
While the ambiance and panoramic views at Yamashiro offer a stunning backdrop for a meal, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. The food, unfortunately, did not justify the high price point. Although our waiter was friendly and engaging, the service was frustratingly slow, with a notable wait of almost 20 minutes just to receive the bill. Ultimately, the setting and atmosphere were the highlights of the evening, overshadowing the lackluster culinary experience.
