Chill spot, with hole in the wall vibes, amazing food, & incredible service!
We sat & ate @ the bar, & Colin was our Bartender- he hooked up strong drinks and provided great conversation.
The sushi was amazing, some of the best I've had! The only complaint I could have is that everything was pricey, so be prepared for a large bill if you like trying different plates.
It's been a year since I've been back at this place, and it will be the last. The food has gone downhill. Look at the photo of the ramen. It's made with chinese style noodles, egg is overcooked and the chai sui didn't taste good or look appetizing, and broth does not taste like it should be cooked for at least 6 hours. The shrimp tempura seemed to be sitting there for a while as the ones we got were not crispy and somewhat warm. The rolls were small and not very tasty. The server was great and did serve us well. However, it's a shame as I remember this place being amazing.
I didn’t come here for the restroom. Bro the Sushi here is top shelf amazing levels of fresh. Portions are huge, the quality of the staff and presentation of dishes is art. I’m here on a Saturday evening, they’re showing UFC on the screen and there are families and couples here. The kitchen is wide open you can see them preparing meals right in front of everyone. I’d eat here every day but then it would get old. All Stars ⭐️
Food is great but price is not that expensive . It’s like casual a Japanese restaurant. But waiters are always busy.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem after being referred by staff from another local (delicious) restaurant.
Josh and Collin were at the bar and their personalities, engagement, and suggestions didn't disappoint!! Not only was the service staff magnetic but the food was phenomenal! There is definitely something for everyone at Yama, whether you want a light snack or a hearty meal.
The other patrons were the cherry on top! Shout out to Muslim for being an awesome bar companion!!
Whenever I’m in Texas and craving Japanese food, I always visit this place. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, and the staff are friendly. I highly recommend the yakitori and agedashi tofu, which offer a taste just like back in Japan. Additionally, they have a happy hour where beers are priced attractively.
