Best WLM Reviews
Everything was good. I had the quarter jerk chicken with a side of mac and cheese and the small stewed chicken with rice and peas, steamed veggies, and plantains. The stewed chicken had good flavor. I just wish it had more sauce. The mac and cheese had good flavor, but it was dry and the jerk chicken had a good smoke flavor and the seasoning was good and the spicy sauce on top was delicious as well..the veggies were hood, just needed a little salt...I'd go back for both the meats but not the mac. Wasn't worth the $5 it cost. I will go back and try the oxtail plate alot have raved about in the reviews and maybe try other things..all in all, it was good.
I love it here???? My favorites so far are the curry goat and curry chicken. The rice and peas, cabbage, plantains, and beef patties are delicious.
This was a first visit I thought I'd drop in since it doesn't seem to be a busy place. The order placed was Jerk chicken dinner. It came with 1 chicken leg and a piece of a thigh, peas and rice, cabbage and a slice of plantain. I was not impressed with the flavor of any of the items I received, The texture of the rice was too mushy. The cabbage looked appealing but had a bland flavor. The person I encountered was friendly. I look forward in going again soon so I can try other items to see if there are some better choices
This place is a hidden gem! It’s another place I pass everyday, and totally overlooked! My daughter and I decided to stop there and try it out, it did not disappoint at all!! Food was fresh, portions were great, and service was excellent! The lady at the window was pleasant and welcoming, I felt like I knew her for years lol! Prices are competitive compared to other Jamaican restaurants, and portions are the same! I wanted the Red Snapper Esco but it’s made to order and I was already running behind schedule. So that means I’m coming back because I have to try it from this place because I know it will be good lol
My wife and I paid a visit to this establish during our Thanksgiving visit to Powder Springs. Being from the North, the first thing we notice were the incredibly amazing prices. we ordered the jerk chicken with rice, cabbage, and plantains. Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. we also grabbed a bottle of the fresh Sorrel and ginger. Perhaps the most amazing Sorrel drink I've ever had.
We had so much food that we were able to share the plate for lunch and the next day for breakfast.
My only regret is that I don't live closer.
I've passed by and always wondered what the food was like... but today I finally pulled in - I had no idea what to order so I just picked the curry w/ rice and Mac&chz. It is heaven! I also got the fresh pineapple ginger juice.... ❤️❤️❤️ I've helped the whole thing down and want more, it's my new fave!! So amazing!
Update, today I went and got the veggie place and tried the (something) Island juice and it was amazing too! I love this place!!
I gave them 5 stars because the chicken and pork was seasoned to perfection. The brown stew gravy is also flavorful. The festivals are amazing and made fresh. I will return soon to taste more of the menu.
Great food, friendly service, very generous portions. I got the oxtails and my wife got the jerk chicken. The entrees were delicious, the sides were great, and the food was worth the price. Jamaican food (especially oxtails) is my favorite comfort food after a long day or to calm my soul from stress. I will definitely be back soon!
