Highly recommend this place, especially for their lunch specials. Between 11am and 2pm, it’s $7 for a huge portion of jerk chicken (or other similar options), rice and peas, cabbage and gravy. Also comes with a soda or water so an all round good deal. Friendly service too.
Delicious food, generous size portions, and friendly service. It’s too hot to eat indoors (86 degrees inside!). Otherwise this place is fantastic. They gave tons of chicken. The beef stew gravy was the best I ever had.
I usually visit this place at least once a week, will not be back. Ordered some jerk pork and asked for the sauce on the side. Lady at the counter said they had no container to put it in, so I asked her if they could put it in a small cup. She said they would have to charge me 6.50 for the the cup, what? Totally ridiculous. I’ll miss their snapper dinner, too bad.
The food was good, not too spicy or oily, I got ackee and salt fish with ground provisions. The young lady at the front was very pleasant and friendly, she even called me back. I called to asked if they had breakfast so she called me back to asked me if I wanted her to share my food before it tan out. The store was also clean and inviting. I enjoyed my breakfast, thank you.
First time eating from this place. I gave a three star because the amount of food given could’ve been better. I got a lunch special. The meat was already small, I could’ve at least gotten one or two pieces more with all that rice. Plus I didn’t get the steam cabbage like I asked. I got oxtail for my mom, she got everything but they gave her ONE fried plantain! Apart from that, the food was great and I believe the prices are reasonable
So I went here August 6th, 2021 after 12pm. I wanted to get some jerk chicken for my kids and I to share. Of course they have lunch specials but I didn’t order it because it wouldn’t have been enough chicken to share between us. We didn’t want any rice or veg. So I asked for the regular jerk chicken portion W/Fried Dumplings. I spent $20 before tax on that so called plate of jerk chicken and peanut punch and the carrot juice. Which the peanut punch went bad the following day even though it was in the fridge. I ended up going somewhere else to get food for us. It’s upsetting to have your mind set to eat to be full/satisfied and you can’t get it nor get to that point. I gotta ALWAYS check my receipt now when I go there. P.S. The chicken was tasty, just wish they weren’t so skimpy with the food ????????
This is one of the best Jamaican restaurants I've ever been to. Authentic Jamaican cuisine, the food and service is great!
I love their food, but they have been trying it lately. I ordered the fried chicken with rice and peas and veggies. These people are so disrespectful they gave me a little corner of veggies. Like a tsp full of veggies you could’ve kept that.
