Formal Complaint Regarding
Poor Food Quality and Customer Service
Dear YaYa Chinese Management,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience with your restaurant. I ordered food that arrived undercooked, with a completely doughy texture, and dry in taste. It was inedible and not what I expected after paying a $5
delivery fee.
When I called customer service to request a pickup for the food and a refund, I was met with rudeness and ultimately hung up on. This level of service is unacceptable and has left me with a very negative impression of your establishment.
I believe that serious changes need to be made at YaYa Chinese, as this experience reflects poorly on your commitment to quality and customer care.
I hope to see a response regarding this matter & a full REFUND for the inconvenience for $46.94!!!!!
I ordered the pu pu platter. It was prepared quickly. It comes with two of each of eggrolls, crab rangoon, pork wontons, chicken wings, fried shrimp, beef and chicken sticks. The egg roll was ok. A lot of cabbage. cream cheese wontons and chicken sticks were forgettable. The pork wontons and chicken wings were decent. The beef sticks were great. They were very nicely seasoned but a little over cooked.
Food was sooo good and portions were huge. Prices were more than affordable. I was too hungry to take a better picture but all this food was $22 after tax. These 1 star reviews sound like they were written by people who don’t understand how restaurants work or what Chinese food is.
Food is always good, had bourbon chicken with fried rice. It’s not a dine in place and it’s a little crowded from other customers airing for their food and small inside. They’re always busy so I get that they aren’t too talkative or friendly.
Always been my favorite local American Chinese take out place. I do wish they would bring back the crispy shredded chicken/beef (I think that's what it was called) been craving that for years since it got removed from the menu.
The egg roll is good, but not mom’s. I don’t think anything is cooked like mom. Chicken wings appetizer is AWESOME! But have to eat it hot! Once is cooled down...great hangover food! NEVER appreciate the egg foo young before...MY GAWD I’m addicted to it now! Maybe it’s the “special” sauce. U know what, I don’t care, don’t change! Something about me ordering lunchtime egg foo young here that cures the lunch craves for Chinese food. My fav-fla is kung-pao and it’s ok here...it does cure my wants but there is only a few places that can make me swerve directly into a semi. So don’t feel bad. I grade hard. For the money DEFINITELY a place to be.
I delivered some packages to this place and The back kitchen had roaches running around all on the raw food and everything. The place had a slight smell of dead rodents. I have never ate here and after I saw that I never will
I did not take a picture of my food because it was hard and dried out. I ordered the black pepper chicken dinner combo. I went in at around 7:30pm and I got my food at around 8pm. When I made it home and opened my food the chicken was so hard I could not bite into it or tear it with my fingers. My onion fried rice had a bunch of uncooked onions and very crunchy big pieces of bell peppers. I called the restaurant to inform them that my food was poorly made. The young man, who answered the phone, told me that his manger said to bring the food back and they would replace it. I then drove 3.5 miles back to the restaurant to return the food. When I Arrived, I asked for the manger and showed him the food. He then told me I am the only person to complain. I told him that the chicken was too hard to bite in to and the veggies were not cooked. He then proceeded to tell me that this is how they make it and I could replace it if I wanted. I told him that if the chicken is made like this I only want rice but please make sure my onions are cooked. He told me that I had to order something. I told him that I didn’t want anything but the rice and I would just take the monetary difference for the chicken. He then said no you have to get food. I told him I did not want anymore of their chicken if this is how it would be prepared. As a matter of fact I would just take a full refund. He said you did not bring back the egg roll or the soda I said ok I will just take the difference of what I brought back. He then said no you can’t get a refund because we already prepared the food. I told him that the food was poorly prepared and not edible I want a refund. He then threw the money at me and told me to get out. I took my money and left. Hungry, angry and feeling very disrespected and disappointed, I drove home to make myself dinner. I will never be a customer at YaYa China again. The food was horrible, the manager was rude and the service over all was not worth my time or gas to drive there.
