Best WLM Reviews
Not a fan of American sushi and this a solid example of that. Everything is cover heavy in sauce. Fish is thin, on purpose I guess to cut cost.
Service is good. Water get refill and they have a lot of people working. If you like American style sushi then come here. If not then go somewhere else.
This is by far the best sushi restaurant in Michigan. We learned about this place from an Instagram influencer. Everything she ordered in her video looked so delicious, and it was even better in person. We've been twice, and the staff has been uber nice and professional both times. I was eating so fast that I forgot to get a picture of the Mexican roll. Buyer beware of the Jiu-jitsu roll. It is very good, but it will kick yo azz with the habanero sauce
Today on our agenda Xushi Ko. In our search of sushi and all foods related.
Nice little spot, great food, not much in atmosphere. Saw a projector and a screen but nothing on. But otherwise background music and chatter.
On to the food. Decided to try the Avocado Spiral filled with salmon. A spicy tuna hand roll, ginger salad, miso soup, and the teriyaki steak hibachi, ending with a small sashimi sampler.
The avocado spiral was quite delicious, spicy mayo, eel sauce, and crumbles, went great with the salmon and avocado.
The hand roll is pretty good as well.
Sashimi sampler, plump, tender pieces, salmon, tuna etc. the teriyaki steak hibachi was tender and moist, medium rare. And very flavorful.
On to the ginger salad which looks like it’s topped with pumpkin purree or sweet potato’s lol
It’s more sweet than usually ginger dressing. After a couple bites it grew on me.
And great service.
Next time I’ll try the xushi pizza
I'm not sure why others are complaining!
The restaurant was super clean, the rest rooms were clean and well lit. The service was outstanding, and the host came to our table 2 times to check on us, the waitress, more than 4 or 5 times between taking our order, refilling drinks, and checking on us. But the manager came to our tables 2 times also as we left spoke to us. They did this with all the other customers also.
Now the food!!! I loved it. From the taste to the amount of spicy and flavor to me was remarkably great! We left with full bellies and enough leftovers for another round! For sure, I will be going back soon!
3 stars is based on my take out experience and sushi pizza alone. The sushi pizza was very tasty i would go back for that. I also ordered the #1 combo and it was not great. I would like to try more.
Service is good. But the sashimi is meh…
I never see who cut the fish like this in any Japanese restaurant. It was huge.
You can compare the sashimi with my chopstick.
I feel like I can eat the whole fish without any cut now.
I hate to rate low but it was our experience. The host was lovely, we were seated within 10 min on a moderately busy Saturday night. Ordered 2 cokes to start, took about 10 min for those. We ordered 2 seaweed salads, 2 sushi rolls and the sushi pizza. After 25-30 min, our seaweed salads arrived. They were good, standard seaweed salad. It took another 15-20 min for our first 2 rolls to hit the table. That’s 45 min from seating to our main meal. The sushi pizza took another 15 min after the rolls and thank god it was delicious! Service/timing was very off. Atmosphere was ok. The bathroom was odd. I hyped this place up so was extra disappointed. Hopefully it was just an off night!
Friendly staff, quick service, and some of the most delicious and unusual sushi items I've ever had. Definitely recommend the Tiger's Ball and the avocado spiral!
