This new management has no idea how to fix anything.
Basically they adjusted the 24 hour policy.
They drained the pool out of laziness of maintaining it.
The men’s bathroom lights have been out for weeks because management didn’t get any training on how to fix a light bulb.
Don’t bother with this gym anymore, it was decent under xsport but it’s trash now like the managers that run this place.
Don’t expect functioning equipment here.
Now they are LaFitness gym and they don't care about the gym. The front desk can not respond to basic question about my membership, they just say you need to came back when the service member is available.
Even though the gym was never fully clean I use to love going to Xsport fitness. The moment LA fitness bought this gym the escalators stopped working, the kids center closed, the cleaning supplies changed, the pool drained, the hours changed. Absolutely disgusting. I love how big this gym is which was one of the main reasons I kept the membership. The second was that it was open 24 hours. If LA Fitness can’t at least change the hours back or at least make them a little more flexible I will cancel my membership. I’m not paying $40 for bare minimum efforts.
It’s no longer 24hrs. The swimming pool looks like somewhere Jigsaw takes his victims. The sauna gets as hot as a ‘98 Civic. The bathrooms are filthy. Machines are broken. Whoever bought this is just trying to save money at every turn. Does it cost that much to put someone at the front desk after hours? It’s not like they turn off all of the equipment and lights at midnight. Everything is running. No one is in there except for those conducting heinous crimes against humanity in the empty swimming pool. All this for $50. Pay an extra $50 and go to Lifetime. This place sucks and it’s a shame.
It is a real shame how poorly this gym is run. The audio equipment in the group fitness room has been broken for weeks. I can't understand a managing gym but not making sure people are getting their money's worth. The escalators never work. The equipment is out of order. The facility isn't clean, and the place needs new management.
As a member I can’t fully recommend this gym. WiFi hasn’t worked for a year +, machines are old and dilapidated. Things take extremely long to get fixed, some machines will be out of service for months on end. Many band aid fixes to machine. Cleanliness isn’t exactly the best. On the bright side it’s 20 dollars a month and you get a garage with validated parking and quite a bit of selection as it is a bigger gym. Would be nice if they had shower towels and stayed on top of equipment repair and replacement.
Today was my 2nd day going to this gym. It's not bad but there are areas in need of improvement.
Overall, the gym is a bit dirty/ outdated in areas and could use some newer equipment. There are roaches in the sauna. Seen them each day I've been. The front desk attendants are pleasant from what I've seen. The pool is nice.
Both days I've been here I had a hard time scanning out with the parking validation after leaving the gym. I had to scan my parking ticket 30 times before it would let me out. The front desk staff told me to just keep scanning and not to pay the $12 to leave. Please do something about this.
Overall, decent gym.
Review of XSport Fitness
I recently had a disappointing experience at XSport Fitness regarding their television channel policies. As a member, I asked the manager if they could play the EuroCup soccer tournament on one of the gym’s TVs. To my surprise, the manager informed me that he couldn’t change the channel.
I’m curious if this is a policy at all XSport Fitness locations or if it was just this particular manager being uncooperative. As a sports fan, it’s disheartening not to be able to watch significant events like the EuroCup while working out.
Given that many gyms strive to accommodate members’ preferences to create a pleasant workout environment, I found this response particularly frustrating. If this is a strict policy across all XSport Fitness locations, I believe it needs reconsideration. If it was just this manager, I hope the company addresses this issue to prevent future inconveniences.
Overall, while XSport Fitness offers good facilities, the inability to watch major sports events significantly detracts from the overall experience for sports enthusiasts like me. I hope XSport Fitness takes this feedback seriously and considers more flexible policies for the benefit of all its members.
